False with Perriloux running it, true with Jefferson.

ETA: So maybe you should change your title to: Jefferson running the option has been a disaster

I remember RP starting to run the option vs Va Tech and then dropping back and throwing a TD pass. Is that the last time we ran an option pass?

I don't remember the option being an issue in 2007.

I don't recall ever seeing Crowton out on the field, much less running the option play.

[quote]True/False: Crowton running the option has been a disaster with jj. Perrilioux could pull it off, jj cant because he wont wait till last second to pitch the ball. Doesnt want to take the hit imo

I vaguely remember, but it was so long ago. I don't know why RS doesn't run the option and then when the defenses start creeping up to stop it, we throw a bomb. I would love to see this.

Jefferson running the option five yards deep in the backfield and pitching it to the running back who is three feet away from him and in front of him has been a disaster.

this is the correct answer

it pisses me off that the media thinks Jefferson is a "mobile QB" who can "run" just b/c of the color of his skin. He's probably the most "hesitant to run" QB that we've had since Rohan Davey.

The option play in and of itself has had limited success but the offensive coaches feel the benefit they get in defensive alignment is worth having it in the playbook and running it 5/6 times a game. Miles said that running the option causes the defense to widen out their alignment and is a benefit to our offense. I will defer to the coaches on this since they have years of game film to back up this assertion.

Hard to say, an alternate play might be worse
