They almost exclusively used TQ to block (which telegraphs to the defense is a run play almost all the time)- he probably got tired of that. But in the grand scheme of things.. Blocking is a valuable trait in WRs. He has the size and speed to do good. Good luck to you, sir.

And that's what's frustrating, he put in good time blocking a TON yet we rarely ever gave him looks. Sure would been nice to see more of what we saw against TTU earlier in the year.

Look at my post history, I called this months ago. Last word I got (a month ago) he was heading to SMU.

If Quinn were black, this thread would end at about two or three pages. People assumed he would be better than he turned out to be (and wanted him to be better than he was) because he was white. Truth hurts.
He is a great kid and will be a success in life, I feel certain...but he was not what most wanted him to be here.

He could've done good things here if he had a little patience. Shame.
Best of luck to him, though.

He was never that good, but people did not want to admit that simple fact. People held out hope for him like no other player I can recall.
He is not in the same league, athletically, of other receivers that were playing ahead him.
Because we have bad QB play, the catch radius for a receiver needs to be extremely large at LSU. That is why larger receivers typically fair better than smaller ones in our system...their catch radius is bigger just by being physically bigger.
When you couple his lack of size with his number of drops (he led the team in drops two years ago and was like 5th in targets), you end up with a dispensable athlete...particularly when you have bigger, more athletic freshmen coming into the system.

Quinn broke all sorts of records in high school and has the talent to play at a very high level, he contributed a lot to the team in his 2 years here despite not getting looked at much in the passing game. This thread would go just as long if he was white, black or asian.
....Okay, mabe a lot longer if he were Asian.

QB couldn't deal with more than one WR in the pattern. Too bad.

He'll be fine wherever he lands. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him be a biletnikoff finalist if he goes to an air raid or spread pass offense.
