Where did you get that from? He dropped like 2 or 3 passes as a freshman. Dropped none this year in a year we dropped a ton of passes.

He's a true possession receiver and LSU doesn't know what that is. Let's sling it 45 yards downfield to the sideline and see what happens.

He was never that good, but people did not want to admit that simple fact
quote:You are a racist POS. They guy ran a 10.93 100m. He was an athletic freak that was one of the top athletes on the entire team.
He is not in the same league, athletically, of other receivers that were playing ahead him.
You are actually devaluing Trey Quinn because he is white. Not the other way around

Good luck Trey! Look forward to hopefully seeing you in the NFL one day.

He would have been great as a Julian Edlemen or Danny Amendola slot receiver. That however is just not part of LSU's offense

I really wonder about some of you...
Quinn was one of the fastest guys on the team. Dude runs in the 4.4s

if Trey Quinn catches that pass against bama a couple years ago he wouldn't be transferring, imo...

The note here is be very cautious of kids that come from spread offenses in high school to LSU. We will never be "that" offense, yet what is amazing is the haul of WR's we are getting to come here.
I don't think LSU barring Quinn from transferring to another SEC school is nothing new. I am pretty sure that most have this transfer rule.

100% false.

neither is the QB that cant, or wont, throw a ball down the middle

He'll be fine wherever he lands. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him be a biletnikoff finalist if he goes to an air raid or spread pass offense
If he plays in an offense that has an accurate QB, he could put up big numbers. He was a bad fit at LSU because we never have accurate QBs. Catch radius = Too Small.
If he goes to Baylor, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, UCLA, etc. he could light it up.

Um, why the frick would we let him go somewhere where we'd have to play against him?

He was never that good, but people did not want to admit that simple fact. People held out hope for him like no other player I can recall. He is not in the same league, athletically, of other receivers that were playing ahead him. Because we have bad QB play, the catch radius for a receiver needs to be extremely large at LSU. That is why larger receivers typically fair better than smaller ones in our system...their catch radius is bigger just by being physically bigger. When you couple his lack of size with his number of drops (he led the team in drops two years ago and was like 5th in targets), you end up with a dispensable athlete...particularly when you have bigger, more athletic freshmen coming into the system.
Bro, I think you have it wrong here. Because he is white, his athleticism is downgraded. Do you honestly think he is inferior athletically to the other WR's? What evidence do you have to support that? Is he "deceptively" fast?

All about the QB. Jarvis Landry was used exactly like that. Get the whole white WR comparison out of your head.

Good luck Trey. Will always be a Tiger.
