Jennings is still better than Jordan Jefferson, and those teams with JJ went to the ship.

Holy shite. This myth that JJ was this horrible qb needs to die. He had 2 seasons with qb ratings higher than Flynn's in 07.

Youre not a shitty qb if these are your accomplishments at a top 15 alltime program.

Ranks fifth for career wins by a starting quarterback at LSU with 24 ... Tied for fifth in LSU history for career TD passes with 34, equaling Jamie Howard (1992-95) ... Is sixth in LSU history in career passing yards (4,733), sixth in completion percentage (58.7), sixth in career completions (398) and sixth in attempts (678) ... Accounted for 46 TDs during his career - 34 passing, 12 rushing ... Rushed for 1,018 yards and 12 touchdowns during his LSU career ... The 1,018 rushing yards ranks first among quarterbacks in school history and the 12 rushing TDs is fifth by a QB ... Holds the LSU single-season rushing record for a quarterback with 450 yards during the 2010.

I want Quinn to do well but mostly because every time I read or hear his name I think about that old song "Quinn the Eskimo".

hat second pass was garage. That one was on the quarterback. So basically he was benched because he dropped one pass.

bullshite. While the second pass was not good, it hit his right palm. He shouldve caught that.

If by never sniffs the bench you mean he was benched/ pulled a bunch before Harris tweeked something.

He had a hard time getting used to playing against SEC defenses with size and speed. And that's hard to do as a true freshman. Quinn will be fine and will be a very good WR for us. Not worried about him at all.

Yep, and it doesn't help that the QBs get you lit up running right into an LB or safety.

If we do some four wide, I'd love for both Quinn and Johnson to be in the slot (same with Dillon).

We have way too much WR talent to not throw it around 30 times a game. I'd say a nice ratio of plays should be 40-45 run and 30 pass.

This and he had plenty of time to adjust to the ball and he did a poor job of that. However, as a freshman receiver the SLOT is probably the most difficult position due to the physicality of the SEC db's.

Trey is a great young man and football player. I and all tiger fans hope he has a great year--I know he will give it his best.

According to Ross Dellenger of the Advocate, CB Tre’Davious White and WRs Trey Quinn and D.J. Chark were three of a host of players returning punts. I can’t attest to that as I didn’t see it for myself, but I don’t find it surprising.

Speaking of receivers Quinn and Chark, I have heard that they have been making a great impression on new receivers coach Tony Ball. Coach Ball is a stickler for detail and technique, and those are areas where Quinn and Chark excel.

Jesus, some of you posters are retarded. Landry and OBJ had their share of dropped passes during 2012, it happens with most freshmen receivers. This isn't some new or unheard of concept, the game changes a bit from high school ball to SEC ball.

Perspective:

As a true freshman, Quinn was the second leading receiver on the 2014 team in terms of passes caught (17). In comparison, during their respective freshman years, Dural caught 7 passes (redshirt), Reuben Randal had 11 receptions and Jarvis Landry had 4.

Trey will leave LSU as one of the best to ever wear the purple and gold.

Les did bench Harris during the Auburn game but kept Jennings in there even after he did worse than Harris. Jennings must have naked pics of Les' daughter.

Really, give Les more credit than this. He has a great talent pool at receiver and Quinn is one of them. The Kid runs great routes and gets open, has great hands with plenty of speed.

My personal opinion is he got a little gun shy as the season progressed due to some vicious hits and this is understandable. Jennings is a little slow making decisions and that split second allows DB's to close the gap and deliver hits to WR's tearing their heads off. Saw this more last year than previous years and not just Quinn. Understandable for a first year QB and first year reciever, things will improve

Quinn is not the only receiver to drop balls in LSU history and will not be the last.

Oh, so it's Jennings' fault that he got the drops?
