not a matter of saving him for November but you have to start a slow ramp up at some point, getting out there even in a no contact jersey is a step in that direction.

Tre Dez Green practiced today.

if this is true, why would they hold him out this weekend?

I'm guessing because you can put in a non-contact jersey in practice but not in a game. Just a guess, though.

I would not be surprised if he shows up as doubtful or questionable on the preliminary availability report and available on the final, but is not used unless necessary.

He is tracking toward playing against Bama which is all that matters. Not losing him for the entire season is huge even though it sucks we haven't had him the last several weeks.

If we lose this weekend literally nothing matters in November anymore.

Not necessarily. The SEC has been eating its own tail. This past weekend proves it. LSU might still get in at 9-3 if there is enough chaos. OM and Kentucky losses don't look as bad now.

him practicing doesn't mean he's not also limited at practice.

Could be they use him if needed. Maybe in red zone or even as a decoy. Doubt he would be practicing if he absolutely couldn't play but also doubt he will see the field if we get and hold a lead.

Start practicing now is a good thing....bye week after Auburn, so could be ready for Bama.

Because they need him at 100% for Bama.

Just to give auburn defense something to prepare for
Just play him in goal line packages only, jog 5 yards into the end zone and command double coverage.

Don’t throw him the ball, too risky, just be a decoy.

This question doesn’t make sense.

Bc he’s likely not 100%

While this weekend is a must win, we will really need him in November
I agree, but if he can go, he goes this weekend. Sam being better in the pocket and the mismatch of Green could make this a whole different game. Ball control passing game, open up the run, keep AU off the field and win in the RZ and it could be a huge win on the road.

He is the only one on our squad that simple changes the entire dynamics of the play by him being on the field. He just needs to step out there, doesn’t need to block or run a route.

He could be a great ploy to put in for red zone situations and attract attention away from others. Get him in while limiting his exposure while also having a potential impact on the game.

Doubt he plays this weekend, but very promising that he is out there today. “4 and 1 are also good” is the other text I received today.

Had some close up looks at him Saturday on the sideline in sweats, looked like he was moving comfortably and no crutches, braces, etc. Made me hopeful.

Watch the MSU game replay...when Cookie is spraying the fire extinguisher, Trey Dez is in the middle of all of the guys jumping up and down celebrating. He is fine.

Great news - Sure wish Whit Weeks was out there too. I think we miss him more than Green TBH, although we miss both a lot.

"Practicing" is a broad term that can mean a lot of things.

He was likely just running drills and getting back in shape.
