i don’t think there was someone love affair or hate fest with him.
when he was hitting well and we weren’t people were upset and that understandable, but he isn’t like Cam Johnson who everyone was pissed at.

I was sad when he left. Thought he was going to be a stud after his freshman year, and didn’t get enough consistent playing time his sophomore year to prove that, but still contributed nicely to the W/L column.
I’d take him back if he wants in for cheap and understand his role may be limited. Similar to Grant Fontenot, who was one of the decent arms out of a terrible pen.
Also wouldn’t care if he went elsewhere. The ceiling doesn’t exist like I thought after the ‘24 season.

No room for him at DH, 1B is a log jam, and he can't play CF. I guess he could situationally pinch hit, but I'd only pay him for that.
UT pays above average relievers six figures, so I can't imagine him taking that big of a pay cut to not play.
