He didn't really find his place in our offense but the guy plays hard. One of my favorite tigers of recent. Hope the guy finds his place.

If he would’ve been around 20 years ago... would’ve been an all pro fullback... that position has just phased out, unfortunately for him

Almost every team have a full back. He’ll find a place.

There are probably 10x as many NFL teams with Fullbacks as there are College teams (not counting triple option teams)

The position hasn’t gone away in the NFL.

Listen to Kyle Shannahan talk about them on PMT. they can give you an instant numbers advantage in the run game without the Defense knowing which side it’s going to be on which is huge.

The caveat is they have to be able to run and catch or you become too predictable. Carter is actually pretty good at that.

Sucks that he never found a true position, bc He was one of my favorite guys to just watch.. dude gave his 100% all in effort every damn play

But there are only 24 fullbacks in the nfl

If not fullback, definitely special teams I would think.

He should have played TE or LB. maybe thin out a little and play some RB.

NFL teams are always looking for a full back, they will even convert college linebackers to play full back. If I remember he had a few injuries in college but he can probably make a team somewhere.

Kyle Uzchyeck (I know I f'ed that up) with San Fran is what the NFL looks for. Blocks, short carries up the middle or off tackle, mostly short routes, but once or twice a game goes for a 30 yard or so pass off of some misdirection.

I think he'll find a place! You know he's willing to go smash heads on ST. He blocks, runs, and has receiving skills. Every team needs a few of these guys

Yes he does, these people saying no obviously don’t pay attention to NFL football. 24 out of 32 teams in the NFL still use a modern fullback. The other 8 still have a variation of the position still in use for certain situations in their playbook.

He would have gotten a ton of playing time at tight end if he'd come back to LSU. Now LSU's tight ends going into next season are Kole Taylor, Nick Storz, and WR/TE Jack Bech.

All the people saying TE didnt watch him try to catch a pass last year.

Not good would be an understatement.

Nope, teams don't run lots of 2 back sets. FB have been replaced by an extra TE who is like an H-Back. In the 1970's even up to early 90's, Moose Johnston, Emmitt Smith, era for Cowboys, yes.

Not in todays game.

That would mean like 2 college teams have fullbacks.
