Why can’t this team play decent vs these shitty teams? He’s recruited fine, but they should be destroying these cupcake teams. This post aged well lol

Northwestern is not a great team, but they're gritty. They led Oklahoma 34-28 at half earlier this year, and Oklahoma is undefeated, including a win over Arizona.

This is why 2 halves are played. We have some good wins under our belt most didn’t think we could get, yet here we are still arguing about a bad shooting performance at half. Not only that, but followed up by a 50+ point second half. Great defense was played throughout and that’s how we beat the spread. If we can play good defense like that, no matter how many shots don’t fall and how many turnovers we have, we will be in every game. If we can turn atrocious at times into average on offense on our worst nights, we are a Sweet 16 team.
Some of that will be getting Chest off the FT line trying to break a zone. I would put him in the dunker spot and let Reed play there more or even Bailey. You can’t have your worst passer breaking the zone, but I think we will figure that out.

the more ignorant the fan, the more they want to shrink the sample size to be critical. they don't even judge whole games, just halves or parts of halves so that even blowout wins are somehow a failure of coaching.
