If Canada really is leaving for a HC job I hope it happens fast. I don’t think Dan Enos will be on the market very long, and I’d love to see his offense with our talent.

The list begins and ends with Ensminger. It’s what O wanted last year. There will be no search.

The answer to this clearly is Ensminger. He's one of the best offensive minds out there; a "thinking man's quarterback".

The offense ran at a high level with him last year. We should absolutely do a search, but he’s not a bad option.

I’m actually a huge fan of Canada’s system. I think O bringing him in was his best move to date. Butting heads with him was a huge blunder.

That said, who on Earth is going to give Canada a HC gig?? No way it is a power 5 school right?

The guy is a career assistant/coordinator that is kind of trashy and has never had a recruiting presence worth noting.

Unless it is a smaller program like Indiana or NIU where he is already familiar with the landscape, I just can’t see him as the face of a program.

Hope O puts his weird ego aside (how the hell a career DL coach’s ego can interfere with a good OC’s is beyond me) and keep him around to keep building with Brennan and Narcisse.

Ensminger would be an awful hire. He did a fantastic job last year. But let's be honest, all he did was call more than the same 8-10 plays, that miles/cam called. LSU had great offense against teams ranked 80th or worse on D and didn't sit on the lead after half. When they played bama and fla, offense went anemic. Why can't you rantards see this? Ensminger is not the answer at OC! LSU needs to stop with the in house shite, go get a proven OC for $1.5mill.

Hiring Ensminger would be the beginning of the end for O and Alleva.

Yeah he looked like a great coordinator vs Bama and Florida.

That goose egg against Bama was as impressive as it gets.

serious question:

Does Ensminger have his own “system”?

last year he used Cameron’s system and play book (according to O). he just did a better job of calling from that book than Cameron was doing.

if he is hired full time, do we go back to that “system” and playbook?

Does Orgeron want him gone?

“LSU coach Ed Orgeron expects Canada to pursue potential head coaching vacancies and he “hopes” his assistant lands a head gig this cycle, he said after the Tigers’ 45-21 win over Texas A&M on Saturday night...“Everybody wants to be a head coach. I hope he gets the opportunity to get it,” Orgeron said....Asked if he’d continue using Canada’s scheme if he left, the coach said, “It all depends. I have in mind what we want on offense also. I’ve been at some pretty good schools, pretty good offenses. If people leave, we have guys like (tight ends coach) Steve Ensminger who I’d highly consider. Done a great job for us last year. Those things got to happen in the near future.”

Does he think we’re better off with Ensminger?
