Can’t argue with any of those. Man I miss those mid 90s Nebraska teams. Dominant

They simply can't accept that 2020 was a joke.

They take that 2020 national championship team VERY SERIOUSLY. Even though no one else does

Which is weird, because they have a lot of great teams to choose from, and you can't compare the COVID year to any other, before or after. But they want to claim 2020 as the best ever, Gump logic.

Their 2020 team is not better than any of the teams listed.

I’ve always liked Matt Leinart, ya know. Seems like a sharp cat.

I find that list hard to argue with. Whatever order you want those were 5 special teams.

2020 Alabama has a massive asterisk and always will. Should they choose to accept it or not, that title and that team is tarnished

There's also a difference between comparing how dominant they were compared to their competition versus comparing a 95 team versus a team 25 years later. Bigger players. faster overall players.

The undefeated Bama championship teams:

1979 - 2 one-score games - 3-0 over LSU and 25-18 over Auburn

1992 - 3 one-score games - S. Miss 17-10, Tenn 17-10, Florida 28-21

2009 - 2 one-score games - Tenn 12-10 and Auburn 26-21

2020* - 1 one-score game - Florida 52-46

I'd go with 1979 if they have an argument, but which of the top 5 would they replace?

I think Matt got it right.

Their crutch is always “we played an all sec schedule. No one ever done that!”

But all those teams were like 70% or lower.

Also Alabama was the only school to not lose a single player to Covid. Interesting. Doubt those guys did nothing but eat sleep and practice in a bubble.

That Clemson team that beat the brakes off of Bama could be on that list. 1995 Nebraska was physically dominating

Miami '01 has an amazing amount of talent of which a lot is influenced by NFL success. But Joe Burrow is in a completely different stratosphere than Ken Dorsey.

Different eras of offense. If Miami didn’t score a single offensive touchdown in that season, they’d still finish 8-4.

What sucks is LSU could have possibly had 2 of the top 5 if Les hadn't shite the bed on 1/9/12.

I would have '95 Nebraska ahead of '01 Miami. Miami's run defense was pretty mediocre.

I still remember Kevin Jones cutting them to ribbons in a game Virginia Tech probably should have won. Makes you wonder what Tommie Frazier, Lawrence Phillips, and Ahman Green would've done to them.
