I would have '95 Nebraska ahead of '01 Miami. Miami's run defense was pretty mediocre. I still remember Kevin Jones cutting them to ribbons in a game Virginia Tech probably should have won. Makes you wonder what Tommie Frazier, Lawrence Phillips, and Ahman Green would've done to them.

I won’t argue that too much but for me The star power of 01 Miami is just to overwhelming.

Have you looked at that schedule for 95 Nebraska? They dominated everyone. No game was even close.

What? No one is rating a team with jordan jefferson or jarret lee ,at qb,as an all time great team. All those teams had a great college qb.

Its more about the resume. They beat (8) Top 25 teams that season and only 2 games were remotely close.

2009 Bama would get my vote if I had to pick a “best” Bama team

Might put 1995 Nebraska number 2 and 2004 Auburn over USC

That 95 Nebraska team were men among boys. Just steamrolled through. I’d put them number 2.

I'm ok with his list because he has 2019 LSU #1

The 01 Miami team bothers me because while they were a really good team, these lists are supposed to be College Football Teams. Were they a good team and won the title, sure. Were they an all time great? I dont know about that. That team gets all the accolades and praise because of the pro careers they went on to have. I dont think that should count towards anything they did in college.

Okay not bad. Personally, I say

1 - 2019 LSU Tigers
2 - 2022 Georgia Bulldogs
3 - 2001 Miami
3 - 1995 Nebraska
4 - 2018 Clemson
5 - 2004 USC

this one is funny because I remember after losing to them Matt said “sometimes the best team doesn’t win”!
USC was the best team that night. Texas just had the best player on the field that night.

I’m an SEC guy but 04 USC beats Auburn by at least two scores.

Longhorns don't belong there. It should be a Bama team.

I keep seeing 95 Nebraska on these lists and goddamn they are so overrated

Overrated? Before 2019 LSU, they were easily the most dominant team I've ever seen.

The closest anyone came to tying them was 14 points, they beat four final top 10 teams by an average of 49-18, and included in those Ws was the most impressive complete beatdown of an incredible team in the national championship game that I've ever seen beating Spurrier's Gators 62-24.

That UF team was going to be called one of the best ever as they went in to the NC undefeated having destroyed pretty much everyone. No one had played them within single digits. #5 FSU was the closest losing by 11.

Nebraska also had some of the most unbelievable stats ever. Their margin of victory was 38 ppg, they averaged 400 rushing ypg, they never had a single offensive holding penalty all year and never allowed a single sack all year.
