Arkansas was running their their backup QBs.

Bama for some reason went away from the run game and threw it 51 times.

This defense was very susceptible and some teams took advantage of it.

Tennessee, Florida, aTm, and UGA all ran for over 200 yards.

Even Arkansas ran for 133 yards.

Arkansas, Bama, and UGA were the only 3
SEC teams not to score a TD on their opening possession. This defense played over their heads for stretches and it showed looking back.

Once again you are wrong. How did we play against Ole miss? Bama also didn't have Young. 4$8's O line was awful all year at running the ball. LSU simply didn't come to play.

I’m not wrong about ACHANE and Weigman getting hurt. AM bad King. Lololol

GO LOOK AT THE ROSTER DIFFERENCE AND GAMES WITH WEIGMAN. GTFO. I watched all of their games.

LSU had WILLIAMS AND arguably their best corner in Converse out. This team had zero depth. If you can’t see that then you’re blind.

You beat TAMu by running then ball.

For star gazers to compare the 2 and get back to me. It isn’t close to the same level of talent.

House held it together as long as he could, but the roster finally revealed itself. An after effect of Ed’s tenure.

Specifically, third down defense. Georgia was 7 of 13 on third down...Texas A&M was 10 of 15. Two really bad defensive performances that were not expected. Why do you think our defense sputtered down the stretch?

While very different teams, both A&M and UGA had things in common.

Both were road games, and we have sucked in all but one this year. No mystery there.

Both teams have more talent than we do. UGA’s is more much developed and experienced, but A&M still had a definite advantage, especially with Weigman at QB and Achane at RB and us missing JBC.

Both teams were balanced in how they attacked us. Our defense did well against teams that lacked balance, like State, Arkansas and Ole Miss. I would say Bama too, in that they are totally dependent on Bryce Young.

We struggled badly with teams that were balanced. Remember FSU? I know that was early and we were missing some guys on defense and still learning the scheme, but they stretched us with their balance. UT REALLY exposed it. UGA did the same last night.

The surprise was A&M because they’ve had mediocre to poor QB play all season and lived on a plodding run game. But King and Johnson aren’t on the same planet as Weigman and they are a different team with him at QB. He was accurate throwing the ball and was able to run enough to pick up 3rd downs when we blitzed, especially in the first half. That balance killed us, especially without JBC in the secondary. We are very dicey back there without him.

Everyone knows it, but it bears repeating... LSU had 38 Scholarship players and a WR starting at QB 14 games ago. We will gain depth with the transfer portal and good recruiting class. We are trending upwards.

They’re hurt and exhausted.

There’s no depth to spell anybody and the same 11 guys have been playing damn near every snap all season.

The problem the last two games wasn’t scheme. It was getting blown up. This isn’t a hard question to answer.

Honest question because I couldn’t watch the game, but was Nuss inserted because of poor play or injury?

Definitely depth. If you watch the TAMU game House couldn't pull enough help down to help to stop the run because he had injuries in secondary. When he did bring help down, they target Sage Ryan in 1 on 1 who has been a liability all year. They simply ran out of gas at the end of the year. The LBs also played terrible which you could argue is on House but I don't think Penn has been that great all year. He looks good in spots and then takes absolutely terrible angles or gets washed out. No rotation on dl.

My explanation: He does not have the personnel on defense depth wise. This is where the portal needs to be hit hardest.

We just blitzed and hoped the talent alone would get to the QB.
.. Agree, not much stunting, just more straight up bull rush…

LSU’s DL was consistently playing 3-5 yards downfield, particularly in the 2nd half. Can’t win many games getting blown off of the LOS like that.

100%
Arkansas, Aggy, & UGA leaned on the run because we lacked depth and it paid dividends.

They figured out how to get #40 off the qb. We need to figure out how to put him back on the qb.

I know LBs have to drop back & cover TE’s & occasionally a slot WR & that’s probably the weakest part of his game right now. He’s not awful but will get better the more he plays.

That’s basically what BK was trying to say earlier this season when everyone was all over BK for Perk not being in the game in every snap.

Well on fairness, the defense played better in the second half when nuss came in, only giving up 15 points vs 28 in the first half. Looked like the entire team had a little extra pep in their step. I know the recs did.
