Alabama RB's did well too...Gibbs averaged 6.6 yards per carry

Yeah, we consistently had trouble setting the edge, LBs don't shed and gap control pretty much became dependent on if the LBs had to concern themselves with coverage.

Bennett and their TEs probably couldn't tell you what numbers our LBs were wearing

Safety is the next problem, and only if our starting corners were healthy

Agree with most of the posts, they fought like hell but you could tell they couldnt keep up and were banged up. Easy to have a good offense with 11, really hard to have a good defense with only 11. D line had to play the whole game with almost no subs. DBs were mixing between stopping the run and covering passes. Just tough after hitting their stride before the A&M game.

Too easy to say lack of depth. Outside of one drive in the first half, GA's plays were all successful.

That was the best O Line we saw all year. They just dominated. Every play.

And we had poor LB and safety play.

D Line, LB, and safety are my concerns for next year.

What is House's scheme? It looked different at the end of the year compared to the first game.

Matt House was a big let down. I saw it immediately in the first game of the season vs FSU. Gave up too many 3rd and Longs, and it persisted the rest of the season. I understand the lack of depth and all, but seems he could never personally dial up something that puts the players in the right position.

Our defense revolves around how effective Perkins is. Game-plan around him like A&M did and suddenly our defense doesn’t look so good.

We bascially had 3 guys playing DT all year. The last 3 SEC games they figured that out and started running right at it.
