Was the officiating as bad on tv as it seemed to be in person tonight or do I just have my purple and gold blinders on?

I was convinced it was gonna be a game with several foul outs. Very weak foul calls tonight.

It’s always easy to bag on the refs but they called every ticky tack foul tonight and didn’t call the hard/obvious fouls.

Yes. Especially in the first half and last few minutes of the 2nd.

So bad the tv crew called it out quite a few times. Even showed three on one possession that weren’t called.

Days was literally pushed to the ground under the basket with a ref looking straight at him and ignored it.

Was as bad as it could be. Tennessee was kept in the game by the refs allowing them to score without the clock moving off of ticky tack calls while we were constantly mauled getting only a few calls here and there.

I was getting concerned that a brawl might break out due to their ineptness.

the refs were trying their hardest to slow LSU’s momentum in the 2nd half. That was fairly obvious

I honestly thought we committed most of the fouls called on us. Not Eason’s on the 3 attempt. But most of them, yes. We reach so much.

But we do get a lot of steals. And we have the depth to bring in more good players off the bench.

Had to be 45+ fouls called in the game. It was the worst officiated game all year. Both ways.

Officiating like tonight is one of the biggest problems with CBB

Call ticky tack contact on the perimeter, but not the guy getting crushed under the basket

Was bad...seems like LSU was running away with it and league didn't want its prime time game to lose its luster...good guys prevailed anyway GEAUX TIGAHS!!!

Obvious no calls on Tennessee throwing elbows and pushing off under the basket all game! And throw in at least 3 no calls on obvious traveling violations by Tennessee. Pathetic, but typical for SEC officials who actually are biased against LSU and Wade, in my opinion! LSU commits fouls and turnovers, but officiating always seems one sided!

I thought they were just really inconsistent. Calling a ton of tick tack in first half to maulings and gaines getting body checked so hard he flew out of bounce and was a turnover in second half. Wild variations. It resembled a cop filling his quota of tickets at the beginning of month and allowing anarchy afterwards
