He was special.
He was fast for his size and was a multi dimensional weapon.
He was able to do several things guys his size struggle with.

Surprised he didnt have a better NFL career.

Tommy Banks was a beast. I remember watching him for West Monroe in the Super Dome.

I grew up on Debra lane, West Monroe La. Tommy’s Dad Tommy Jr was three doors down and we played basketball, football and baseball every day depending on season. Tommy Jr was maybe 5’10” and weighed 250 easily and was Charles Barkley on basketball court and you couldn’t catch him on football field. I’ve never seen anyone with his physical makeup as talented, it was freakish

He was about 3 inches shy of being a great lineman with his footwork.

Fun fact: Sophomore year of high school my friends invited me to a movie, which I remember was Dracula 2000 starring Gerard Butler, and I said no because I wanted to watch this game instead. I relunctantly changed my mind when they told me this girl that I liked was going. She turned out to be a wet blanket, and I missed the game, and now when for whatever reason I'm reminded of Dracula 2000 I get angry.

T Banks once invested in a start-up biz of mine. I'd invented a coffee warmer iPhone app called iHot where your phone would heat up and you'd put your coffee cup on it to stay warm.

Lots of people suffered burns from the app, some serious, and lawsuits started to pile up. Nurse Banks was very unhappy with me and the loss of his $$$ and threatened physical harm upon me.
