The fans want proven coaches not some one of us circle jerk

I remember when Theriot was campaigning for job when PM was looking for hitting coach on Moscona's show
Sickening!

Ranaudo was lobbying for Godwin and wanted his best bud Nolan Cain to keep his gig.

If the past three years hasn't shown anything, it's that this team needs new blood!

It's not a rope. It's a noose.

Todd Walker as hitting coach could teach the GOAT hitter in LSU’s history’s son after he flips his commitment from Ole Miss to LSU to stay with Bianco.

Being a good player doesn't make you a good manager, but a good hitter is certainly qualified to teach the art of hitting. I don't want Bianco as the head coach, but I think the best pure hitter in LSU history, who also had a nice MLB career, would be a good hire for hitting coach, in my opinion. The guy played with some insane talent in Boston for a while, and has talked about what he learned from some of them, as well. I don't honestly know how much better we can expect to do than that for a hitting coach.

Doing and teaching are two completely different things. There's no evidence to suggest he'd be a good coach. None.

I wouldn't worry about him coaching so much as having to hit the ground and recruit. Dude has millions in the bank, I doubt he's all that interested in living out of a hotel again

spots are limited, I'd like to get away from the CPM era of only having one guy do it all

Especially if he tried to make guys stand like he did and wave the bat over their head. It worked for him but looked terrible.

Auburn has tried this with Tim Hudson as pitching coach. It hasn't produced great results.

Todd is very impressive when he talks about approach at the plate, but given his high school coaching career I’m not sure how that would translate.

I could see where he could be good at it. But even if he is will he do it from the volunteer position? If he wants to be one of the paid assistants is he willing to bust his arse on the road recruiting?

Well, LSU is a major part of the Louisiana Good Ole Boy network. Can't function without it.
