link what you think is better. im honestly just curious. I have always thought TD's traffic and other teams joining is absolutely due to the changes and growth of the style over the year. i havent come across better.

and people bitch about the search bar, i google shite all the time and just add "tigerdroppings" behind it. too easy

The Clemson board is straight arse, stuck in 1999.

Do you mean the layout? TD seems horribly outdated as far as message boards go. I really wish replies to a message were indented and put with the parent comment similar to how reddit is laid out. On here you reply to something and then discover that on page 15 of the thread there are 10 other replies saying the same thing.

You know you can see every reply in a row that there is to any singular post, right?

Below every post —> options —-> replies

And you can do that from "My posts" if you just want to see who has responded to your posts. Then, you can also open a new tab from reply to each one of those so you don't lose your place. I find it pretty easy to navigate on my phone.

True, but it's super easy to navigate both on mobile and desktop.

If you've visited a lot of the other fan base forums/websites, you'll see that TD is leaps and bounds ahead of the others in terms of ease of use.

Agreed. Only access from mobile these days. It’s dumb you can’t post pics from your photo library

That is hilarious. That board format is horrible and they will ban you faster than Twitter for comments they don’t like.

What a joke

I would put TD’s top 10 moments up against any of theirs. I’m not going to be the best with this list but didn’t TD solve a murder? We have our own recipe book. We have Tanden. We got a councilwoman all hot and bothered. Etc.

The criteria should be a formula to monitor total local fan members, total outside rival members, total threads and responses per thread, and ease of the site

Quality post there. I assure you the ease of sight is by far a big deal for me compared to the other fan boards I've seen. I'm prob not used to their set up but it usually seems hard to navigate or follow posts on other sites. Kudos to the Chicken.

Not that it even matters, but out of curiosity, what criteria do they base their rankings off of? I would think most active should be the number one criteria, and there is no way those two boards are more active than this one. They seem to be the type of fans, in general, who only get hyped if things are going great. We stay hyped all year, every year, even if it's angry hype. We don't disappear when things are tough.

There is a link in this thread regarding the ranking. It's not based on any metric. In the link, the writer stated it was his subjective opinion of the top ten message boards.

Well, obviously it's subjective. I didn't ask if they had a metric, the word I used was "criteria". Every ranking that isn't purely stats based (and obviously there is no such thing as message board stats) is subjective, and it has to have some kind of criteria that it's based on. Such as, activity, number of members (which is at least sort of a stat), perceived IQ of the general board populace, etc.

If he is going with any of that, I don't see how he could rank Clemson and A&M boards ahead of ours. It seems like a guy who is bored and just throwing stuff out there. Which is utterly pointless.

Here's his criteria.

From the article:

"board traffic, content, information, and pure craziness of the posters".

Chicken said TD has more traffic. So basically the writer's subjective opinion (criteria) is content, information and crazy posters.

Ok. Well, I'd like to know how he judges content. You talk about sports on a message board. The content is the same everywhere you go. I doubt they have better information, and this guy hasn't possibly spent enough time on EVERY college board to be able to judge either content or information. And crazy posters? Is that supposed to be a badge of honor?

It sounds like he's doing exactly what I thought he was. Just throwing stuff out there.
