BK was a good hire by all metrics you could use. He had a great record but just never had the opportunity to coach a top school in a top conference. Jimbo was a top candidate with a championship under his belt. A&M had the money and Woodward got them what they wanted.

Maybe he shoulda went cheaper and hired a hungry coach instead of throwing a bunch of money at the biggest name.

I dont trust us getting into and winning the bidding war for the players that will make a difference....so no, I dont think we find a 'good' coach.

Kelly's deal is the going rate in college football right now.
7 guys make $10 mil or above
another 5 make $9 mil+
pretty much all of them are guaranteed deals.
so good luck talking someone into taking a cheap deal when guaranteed money is available everywhere else.
