To an impartial committee of voters, the conversation about LSU or Ohio State being ranked #1 would end there.

Yes the impartial committee should only use 1 data point that favors your team

You have no understanding of strength of schedule. It's not even close,

Assuming OSU wins. Michigan could drop out of the top 20. Then where will you hang your hat?

You know the old saying: To be #2 you have to beat #1.

This isnt necessarily true. PSU dropped what...2 spots after their loss? OSU would have to curb stomp Michigan for them to drop that far

That's why I said "COULD" The difference is Michigan will have 3 losses. A curb stomping could happen. But Michigan will drop way more than 2 spots with a lose unless its close.

Its not possible to have a rational discussion with someone that believes this.

you brought it up. said noway they could beat Auburn. and Penn State doesn't count because their QB sucks. well, Penn State is ranked higher, has fewer losses, and their QB is better than Nix. if you don't want that comparison brought up, then don't bring those two specific teams like you did.

I have only talked about Cincinnati in this thread, Ohio St. bot.

Why are you taking Ohio St’s best win and comparing them to LSU’s 3rd best? That was my point.

And if you look at QBR, Penn St’s is better but they’re both pretty shitty.

KosmoCramer, I think a win at Michigan, in this particular setting and what's at stake, will be a bigger win than LSU's road win over Bama. But, I really feel the committee ranked OSU at #1 in case of a loss this week. That keeps OSU in the top 4. The committee does not want OSU at 5 on the outside needing to win their CCG. Just my 2 cents.

my apologies. the guy I replied to brought them up and I lazily assumed that was you since you replied to my post.

i wasn't trying to directly compare wins.
I was merely pointing out that is Penn St "doesn't count" because they have a shitty QB, then neither does Auburn for the same reason.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Clemson's offense will carve you up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Your defense couldn't stop an obese woman on a Walmart scooter, much less Lawrence, Etienne, Higgins, Ross, et al.

The same offense that put up only 21 and 24 on UNC and Texas A&M? As mediocre as our defense has been, we'd still probably be the best defense you've faced all year and our offense....well good luck.

It's so hard to put a read on Clemson. Their schedule is historically bad.

This committee isn’t gonna let that happen.

It’s rigged.

I agree completely. You have no clue. Your toughest road game? Indiana. LSUs toughest road game, #2 Alabama. Not even close to comparable. Now LSU has to play another top 5 team, Georgia. While OSU gets to play another non offensive team in Wisconsin. Who they trounced earlier. Strength of schedule isn't even comparable.
