Which college program would you trade places with the last 10 years?
Let's go with some traditional powerhouses :
USC-----No
UCLA----No
Michigan---No
Penn State---No
Ohio State----No
Nebraska-----No
Texas----------No
Miami---------No
in conference
Tennessee----No
Georgia--------No
Auburn--------No
----really only Alabama------In the whole country!!!

it really has been a great 10 year run and a large portion of the fanbase is miserable and wants to fire the coach anytime and every time we lose a game. Be very careful what you wish for because you might get it.
I appreciate a coach who has a record of 110 and 31..
He could lose every game for the next 6 years and still be above .500!!!!!
Who else has that record over that span that we should get in his place?
By the way, I know the answer is Saban, and he isn't coming.
i could give a frick what he has done the last 10 years, i'm worried about now & the next 10 years

What does the last 10 years have to do with the next 5 years...nothing. Miles is 8-6 in the last 2 seasons, that is mediocre at best.

Look ahead not backwards. We are a sinking ship. We can't even beat Arkansas now.

Huh? Nice random list of teams. Nicely including all the teams that are better suited for your argument, and omitting all the teams that breakdown your argument.

Is a "maybe" after he's gone really worth $17 million? Is he so bad that he MUST go.....now?

Us "Positigers" want change, but we're willing to wait, unless our season goes Dinardo up. And we're not even close to that.

No, that's why you hire his son, who is the OC at Baylor.

I would never trade places with any other program..

That doesn't mean we can't be much better.. plus we are a more downward trend at the moment

We have 2 bowl wins in the last 6 bowl games..

This is a good analogy.
The positigers are the ones whose car is paid off and can't see any reason to trade it.

They want to wait until the wheels fall off, engine locks up, etc to where they get nothing but salvage value on trade.

And then, and only then, do they go online researching consumer reports and buyers guides and worry the rest of us to death whining about having to get a new car while depending on someone else to drive them to work until they do.

If we keep Elmer Fudd until the wheels come off, then our stables will be bare, and we will be Tennessee or Texas.

However, if we trade now, even if we're a little upside down, our talent stays put, there's fans still buying tickets and merch so we'll be able to pay an extra 100 or so on the note.

Plus we will have a brand new car!

Better than continuously taking the jalopy to get the same thing fixed over and over.

Warranty doesn't seem to apply.

Um...we have the number 1 recruiting class right now. Looking like we will finish at least in the top 3.

And we are strong in recruits for next class as well.

So WTF are you talking about?

The program is not mediocre, nor unstable. We have one of the best programs in the nation.

A cautionary tale: Nebraska fired two 9-4 a year coaches. One did that record only once, better than that all other years. The other never did worse than that, though had a few years with it.

They claimed, "We will not fall into mediocrity!"

Where are they now? Where were they between those two coaches?
