He’s a baby who cannot have a roommate like every other player on this team. When I heard his parents made this request and O granted this request, I knew his leadership is not there. You don’t give a true freshman that status.

Yes, he did. He got off light, imo.

Some good analysis. Some of the critique could be him trying the preserve his health. Mostly though, I think there is a general lack of urgency.
I also heard some professional analysis of him out of high school and it echoed what you said. Additionally there was criticism of him being erratic with some games playing lights out and others not so much. The variation between the highs and lows were an issue.
He was also said to be “cocky” after playing well and big wins. This is not to be confused with “confidence” which comes with preparation combined with physical ability.
That leads to the most important critique-
He was prone to rely on his physical ability above all else. He was not known to study and was willing to wing it rather than spend time preparing.
Not sure if he’s still this way. If he is, I hope the coaches do not reward him by letting him start. He needs to be held to account. He needs to show that he takes this seriously.
I’m fine with what I saw from Max Johnson. He’s freshman. He needs some time and I can be patient.
Heck, I have no choice

He does not exude confidence, enthusiasm or leadership at this time... Max seems more confident and has a positive demeanor.
I like Max and he did a good job (and a great job to score a TD because it looked like we were getting shut out), but I haven't seen where one looks like the positive leader and the other doesn't. They're both freshman who appear to be learning to me and those things come with some experience.

I'm sure Finley is a great kid. But nothing in his whole recruiting process made me think he was a quality starting quarterback in the SEC. Even his high school tape was mediocre at best. I wish him the absolute best of luck in football and life, but I just don't think his future is at LSU.

Didn’t deserve to get reemed like that by his coach
Yes he did. Even as a freshman, that pick six throw was a boneheaded decision. They were in the game until that point. Also go look your defense who has probably played their best game all year in the face and tell them he didn’t deserve it.

FWIW, Brennan had worse body language at the beginning of the season

Saban offered him a scholarship, so being that he is the best of all time, I'm guessing the kid has some potential (like he showed against South Carolina). He's a true freshman with a terrible OL, a bad running game and an extremely predictable play-caller. He had a bad game tonight, but he's a true freshman.

He was babied by Hank Tierney. POS

Trevor Lawrence was a true freshman too. He's wearing that ring right now.

Surely he was told before that to stop forcing the ball. The one thing you can’t do there is turn it over. It ended the game. He definitely deserved it. Lucky he wasn’t benched earlier for good.
Very reasonable thought.

Looked like coach O was telling him something and he wouldn’t look at him. Coach was yelling “look At me dammit!”

He is lackadaisical out there. He never hustles on or off the field.
I can't stand this. The QB sets the example for the rest of the team. That's why Joe came in and busted his arse in every off season drill. You lead by example

I never understood this attitude. I’m sure many of you (myself included) had a few meat head coaches that would’ve put you through a wall for being disrespectful
