Time to take serious look at Aranda's job performance

I know some think Aranda walks on water, but the truth is he's not getting the job done! We have 5 stars all over the field on defense - Stingley, Chaisson, Fulton, Shelvin and a host of high 4 stars like Lawrence, Delpit and Phillips to name just a few and we look horrible. We let a true freshman quarterback rip our defense apart on his own! How many times over the last few years have we made average quarterbacks look like Heisman Trophy winners? Too many! How many times have we had a team 3rd and forever and we let them get a first down? Too many!
On the offensive side, we're led by a transfer QB, a 3 star RB and a 2-star WR (Jefferson) and no one can stop us. It's coaching that makes the difference.
I know the regular DAs will post something stupid, but if you can show me that Aranda is doing a great job, I would love to hear it!
Geaux Tigers!

#1 team and offense in the country and were subject to shite like this.

It should not be necessary to score 58 points to beat a team like Ole Miss. The Rebels scored more points on our defense, than they scored on any other team on their schedule - except New Mexico State. I like Aranda, but he’s got to turn this trend around.

This team won’t finish #1 if the defense doesn’t step up. Not saying we should fire Aranda or that he’s a bad coach but he’s got to make adjustments. No excuse for us to be this bad.

Aranda is a good coach but this hasn't been his best season. It's blasphemy to criticize him in any way because he's a genius mad scientist but come on. Best defensive mind in the country and he couldn't figure out how to stop haul arse right and haul arse left?
Highest paid DC in the country and the defense can't stop the run, the pass, or rush the QB. But no, nothing to see here. Aranda will figure it out.

So we’re gonna ignore the 5 star WR high 4 star WR high 4 star LT LG RT and that Joe was a composite 4*?
Or that Jefferson was a 3* because he didn’t qualify until late June?
Or that CEH is only a 3* because he’s 5’ 8”?
Or that we have nothing but freshmen healthy at CB after Fulton?

If the defense plays like it did against Alabama down the stretch, and there’s no reason to think it won’t, LSU wins the national championship. Alabama’s offense scored 34 points and that total includes the trick snap play. That offense that has been naming their score all season before Tua went down had three sustained drives in the entire game. The Ole Miss game is nothing more than an aberration at this point since the rush defense has been pretty good overall for the entire year. Do I wish there weren’t as many big plays given up? Yes, but I also have confidence that the defense will be able to make a few key stops when it matters

LSU’s average margin of victory is ~24 PTs and the team is 10-0. Explain to me how he isn’t “getting the job done.”

Look at the offenses now. We are all moving the ball more and scoring more. It is tougher to stop good offenses. Shut outs are almost non-existent this year. Too many great players on offense with good schemes that use the whole field.
Saturday at OM in the 2nd half was not a good look. But it wasn't as much scheme as it was execution. OM did make some changes at half that affected their blocking and we can't make adjustments until we see it executed on the field. just so happened that Plumlee took the second play to the house when we had poor gap leverage and he outran an injured Delpit.
Happened a couple more times but looked like we were somewhat disinterested and just wanting to get the game over with. Coaches are responsible for keeping kids interested and playing with enthusiasm but don't forget we had just won Game of Century II last week. Hard to get up for every week, you know if you have ever played. Bound to have an emotional let down at some time.Les' teams had them almost every year the week after bama, even when we lost. At least the offense was sharp.
Yes, the D can be better. But Aranda has NOT FORGOTTEN how to game plan and coach defense. They did enough to beat Alabama, remember?
