It does make a ton of sense to put Auburn in the East and Mizzou in the west.

Yeah, that probably should have been the case.

Cant beat Alabama so you want to reshuffle the divisions. Sounds like a defeatist looser mentality. I bet you're an Orgeron supporter.

Will not happen. Everyone in the east will vote against

Yep let's swap Bama and barn for vandy and mizzou....wtf?

Wtf is up with the complete and total pussification of LSU fans (or is it just the fans on TD)?
Every other post is someone asking about "feelings" or "does anyone else...". Now we have people calling for a shuffling of divisions so that we have a "chance to compete"??? What in everything holy has happened to us? Has the snowflake, safe space, everybody gets a trophy crowd permeated our fanbase to the point that we need constant acceptance, affirmation and a sharing of our "feelings"?
You want a trophy??? Beat the best. Right now that is Bama. In a few years it may be A&M or Ark. You want to shuffle them out as well?
Good grief, y'all are embarrassing...

get it together folks. When LSU spanks Ala's arse again and it'll likely be sooner rather than later, it'll be that much sweeter. Do you really want to not play them every year?

it's all cyclical. The East dominated the 90s, the 2000s was even, and the West has dominated the 2010s.
Just because Bama is dominating now is no reason to blow up the divisions. Damn, our fans are so soft.
Just get better and beat them.

I say all conferences should get rid of their championship games and divisions. They are pointless now with the playoff system and they sometimes create weird situations like we saw with Ohio State getting in over Penn State today.

Bama and auburn to the east and mizzou and Vandy to the west. Keeps ut-bama and uga-au intact and satisfies better geographical footprint. I've wanted this since sec went to 14.
Our players lose getting to go on the road to two of the best venues in college football.
I would just as soon join the Big 12....

You do realize nothing lasts forever don't you?
Alabama is obv on top now but it won't last forever.
Wait and see.

Alabama was going to the Rose Bowl in the 1920s and 1930s. They were up and down in the 1950s. Bryant came back in 1958. He won six national championships, Stallings won one, and Saban has won four since that time. They don't stay down for long.

Or just get rid of the divisions
This idea makes the most sense to me. No divisions & the top 2 play for a conference championship. Not necessarily fair to a clear-cut regular season champ, but the conferences with championship games will never want to give up the cash cow that conference championship games have become. But I'd rather see this scenario before one that eliminated the yearly BAMA V LSU game.

The alignment is pretty good but the East has too many teams that accept mediocrity.
Posted on 12/4/16 at 7:54 pm to atltiger6487
Exactly Alttiger. Alabama won't be great forever. Their dry spell of 8-9 win seasons will happen. The 90s were dominated by the East teams. Florida, Georgia or Tennessee will get much better at some point.
The ONLY way I see Alabama/Auburn moving to the East is if the SEC takes on two more teams in future realignments. For example, if two teams west of the Mississippi join the conference, then Ala/Aub will go to the East. For example, the two Oklahoma teams?
