Time for Brad Davis to get some deserved criticism

The OL had a bad night with penalties.
Very frustrating.
Chester seems to be regressing at the most important position.
Need to call it like we see it. Get the problems fixed.

Brad Davis made them false start? Why did he coach them like that for this week but not the previous weeks?

Do you really think Brad doesn't work on that? At some point, doesn't it fall on the player?

I honestly don't remember getting that many procedure penalties in a half EVER, and I've been watching LSU games since 1973.

Noise rattles visiting Ole Miss and causes penalties--GREAT!!!!!
Noise rattles visiting LSU and causes penalties--THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!!!!!

There is no growth without pain. Chester has struggled all year to work cohesively with the guards. He is thinking too much and making mental mistakes but has gotten better under Davis

Was it the noise though? Or whistle happy refs? There seemed to be a lot of focus on the LSU oline by the refs. Not just he line judge.

How do you come up with this nonsense? Really, it’s time for some posters to get deserved criticism. Stop this foolishness.

This is never a good response to anything.
The coaches are ultimately responsible for the performance of everyone on the team. They recruit the players and coach them up, and that’s why the coaches are ultimately responsible for everything that happens.

Correct since we keep getting told that this is one of the best LSU OLines of all time.

Yes, which was effectively negated by a shite load of unforced procedure penalties which backed us out of the red zone and killed offensive drives at least 3 times. These guys have been playing football for most of their lives. Jumping offsides is something you are taught not to do beginning practically from day 1 especially for a center.

Then get them some mother fricking ear plugs. That first quarter the offense was moving backward more often than forward.

It’s going to be a bigger issue at A&M, but it’s not characteristic of this team. I don’t think it happens 2 weeks in a row.

I love how we pick and choose what we blame coaches for on this board... been that way since I've been reading this site.

You clowns are special bunch.

Hasn't the OL made a big improvement since the start of the season?
Posted on 10/20/24 at 8:51 am to Rouge
I’ll admit the 1st half penalties were frustrating and puzzling. Honestly I think Arkansas was doing something illegal that the refs weren’t picking up on. But, to their credit, the Oline for the most part got things cleaned up in the second half.

What is frustrating to me is that Ark was able to DL shift all night and draw false starts but when we did that earlier in the season we got 5 penalties for disconcerting signals...

____________
Good sound bite and technically true. But c'mon man, that many false starts is not on the coaches. The players are generally responsible to not make penalties. They have been playing football for most of their life and don't need a coach to not have a false start.
