Please do not ever change our home white jersey uniforms. They are iconic and instantly recognizable by every knowledgeable college football fan.

Don’t change a thing, you can’t make perfect any better than it is.

I am glad we don't have the longer shoulder stripes anymore. The short stripes like they are now look so much better.

I would get rid of the small LSU in the Geaux font

1. not traditional (started in 2009 I think) . People know who we are without it.
2. we now have a different font on our uniform than we do on our helmet. Thats dumb
3. it barely visible anyway, super small.
4. Between that, and al the other batches its just too busy.

I agree we should only wear this iconic uniform combo for all our home games. I'm an oldtimer and associate the purple/gold combo with road games, where the homestanding opponent dresses in white out of spite (as Spurrier-coached teams used to, and Miss State sometimes does). Purple jerseys shouldn't EVER be worn at home.

How do you notice all that. Hell I don't even remember what my own clothes look like in that detail

I would like to see the LSU decal on the helmets have a good background instead of clear because it makes the letters look weird over the holes. I mean, if you're gonna cover them anyways just make it match the helmet.

Idk I jsut noticed it.

I am not a Geaux Font fan, and it always felt like one detail too many.

Superfluous

Make it bigger or get rid of it.

The Nike Swoosh is bigger.

White jerseys are for the road. The white/purple/white is the best looking uniform in the arsenal.

Take the gold stripes out of the pant leg.

Go back to white and purple only.

white/purple/white

This uniform looked pretty sharp in our road game at Vandy. I wouldn't mind it at Miss State if the Bulldogs put us in purple, as they have done on several occasions in the past. In fact, white/purple/white looks a lot better than I thought it would. It also doesn't carry the curse factor that the dreaded gold/purple/gold combo does.

I remember the late 80s/ early 90s "purple poison" days when the NCAA mandated dark jerseys for home teams. The Tigers were forced into the dreaded combo and often ran out onto the field listless, and uninspired. Like they didn't even want to play. Curley Hallman's 9-16 record in home games at LSU reflected the team apathy back then.

People forget things so quickly. Think back to early in Saban's tenure here. HE was the guy that re-instituted the purple jerseys being worn again occasionally at home. Remember why?

Because, arguably college football's greatest recruiter said point blank that high school players were straight up telling him that ONLY wearing one uniform for essentially their entire career was something they thought about when deciding, and it was hindering his ability to talk guys into coming here.

Now...you may say, "Screw them! I'm a traditionalist!" Thing is...you don't suit up. these kid we try to get here to play do.

I'm as traditional as they come, and kind of a uniform snob. I'll always love our Gold/white/gold uniform and think it's the gold standard for college football uniforms. But...given we KNOW it's a consideration for recruits, we need to give the team more options form which to choose. As a traditionalist, I'd like to see those options remain within our general color scheme and traditional look, with three stripes on the helmet, jersey and pants. We stay within that, I see no reason at for for not having alternate versions of what we wear...with our historic gold/white/gold being the #1 options.

And I remember that decision went over the LSU community like the Hindenburg. As crazy as it sounds today, the Great Saban was actually nearly run out of town early in his first season with losses to UAB and Florida in the cursed uniform. The big win in purples for the Peach Bowl that year silenced many detractors, temporarily.

LSU won two SEC titles and played in two Sugar Bowls in the ‘80s even as the Tigers wore purple at home for every game. So a game with purple at home every now and then is fine.

It’s the white helmets and white pants that should never see the light of day again. We need one gold helmet and one set of gold pants. That’s it.

I don't see anything wrong with wearing the white/purple/white combo for one or two home rent-a-win games a season.
