I see no stakes are allowed in the ground but I don't have a freestanding tent. The frame poles for me tent need to be stuck in the ground at least a little bit. I emailed them two days ago to ask if that was okay but haven't heard anything yet.

How strict are they on this?

Bayou country superfest will destroy the grass like every year so I don't know what a few stakes would hurt.

Has anyone been? So you, actually camp in the stadium? I'd love to take my boys one year.

Yes, I took my son the first year. It's pretty awesome. You get a 15'x15' camping space that you can setup tents, chairs, etc.

They serve food, and play the LSU baseball game on the jumbotron, then later serve popcorn and play a kids movie.
There are space walks, photo booths, and other games. 50 yards of the field is nothing but play area where you can throw the football, get a game going with some of the kids, etc.
They also do timed locker room tours and coach Miles and others stop in to visit.
While all that is fun and great, the fun part for me was waking up in the middle of the night and it finally hit me that oh damn, I'm sleeping in Tiger Stadium.

That is freakin awesome. Wish I'd heard about it sooner! Maybe next year. That'd be freakin weird, not only being in TS, which is very cool, but also around so many other campers.

I wouldn't have been able to sleep. I would pay very good money for the chance to participate in an adult camp-out.

Ok, get your mind out of the gutter. I'm talking instead of all the kiddie stuff, have a bar set up, with a buffet table. Maybe later watch a classic movie like Everybody's All American on the jumbotron...

...yeah, that'd rock!

When I went the 1st year, I just used gallon jugs of water in each corner to hold the tent in place.

You're not in it much, and there isn't high winds that will knock it down.

For future reference, does it fill up quick? My boys are 9 and 1. Oldest is a scout.

I'm thinking I'll do it in two years when they're 11 and 3. Is it one adult per kid or can I come on my own without the wife and bring both my boys?
