but I guess we'll have to wait and see how they actually use it in game.

If they dont show more replays it wont be any better use…

These stadiums need to add an add board that is gigantic. Sounds ridiculous, but since they are all about money they can get several times more ads on the screen, and make the actual board that deals with the game separate.

I understand the idea but companies want eyes on their ads so this won't work for them.

So if the picture above is accurate to what the actual screen usage for replays will be. Will the actually size of the screen used for in game replays be any bigger than what was used before?

The fricking obsession with stadiums, lighting , chairback seating, scoreboards is WEIRD to use the word of the week. If you can't sit your fat arse in the stadium for three hours and just enjoy the game itself then stay the frick home and enjoy your living room to your taste.
people pay a lot of money for tickets - there's nothing wrong with them wanting a high quality entertainment experience, and that includes things other than the actual game itself.

Neck better be the first song blasting out of those speakers.

Do most other stadiums have all of the speakers in one location like TS? That has always bugged me, especially sitting anywhere in the south half of the stadium that you are watching the game in front of you, but all of the sound is coming from on specific location away from the action.

For some reason, it looks no different.

that’s so sad looking…The ads and national champ crap should go over the speakers.

Is the screen really any bigger if the actual area used for replays the same as before?

Replays should be ginormous. The game details, stats and ads should disappear during a replay.

Why should the replay on a “video board” at a stadium being something that looks proportionally smaller than something on my TV at my house?

I think the main idea for the new screen was to make more room for ads. Now instead of static ads they can switch them every 30 seconds or so and double the revenue

Looks to be the same size at best.

Unless they will be able to take the ads/ info down during replays and use the entire screen.

Of course they will that one of the whole points of a new board. There is a photo in this thread that someone posted of the entire screen taken up by one video image.

Based on the 'operation/use' of the video boards, in the recent past...we are all in store for more of the SAME...i.e. very few replays on a small portion of the screen[s] ! And almost ZERO highlight shots of other big games !
