I agree and I get both sides.

Jay;'s going to do what he wants, Ranters who think theyre smarter than Jay will continue to melt down and whine, even though Jay has proven he knows what the frick he is doing.

After everything I've read, I'm starting to lean towards JJ starting Eyanson Friday and Kade Saturday.

What have you read that makes you believe this?
during SEC Tournament, JJ said he threw both guys Friday to leave his options open for what order to use them this weekend.
DBU struggled against our lefties earlier in year, so it's not out of the question to use Anderson Saturday.

I don't think it will matter that much. I am more worried about hitting.

I think the debate boils down to how large of a gap is there between your #1 and your #2.

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that he was just saying that. Probably to throw some doubt in the air and give all 3 of the other teams in our regional something to think about.

Sure. They struggled against our righties too.
I still haven't seen anything that makes mean "lean" towards Eyanson starting game 1. I actually don't think it's very likely at all.

It sure would be nice to treat this like a midweek Game. To have as guaranteed a win as you can get, and have both our aces left, well, it would be a great thing.

It would be idiotic to throw your pitchers in Super Regional play on shorter rest. He's not changing their routine

can we pin this?

The weather may be an issue too
Do you throw Anderson but then face a delay or postponement?

Also something I didn’t think about and not sure how much it plays into a decision on who to start game 1, but does post season experience play a role at all in the decision? And who do we have outside of Anderson and Cowan that has post season experience that could be a possibility to even start?
Rolling someone out there in game 1 that pulls a Dutton and can’t even get us out of the 1st would be absolute disaster.

I don't think that is what people are saying.
People are saying that. Not all people.
But some say you shouldn't do it and their reasoning is that it could harm you in this regional.
Some say you shouldn’t do it because it will hurt you if you end up off schedule in the super regional.
Many “deep” thoughts like “you can’t lose game 1”.
Some say they have more confidence in Noot in a drivers seat game vs. DB than vs. Little Rock.
Some are predicting what JJ will do and are forming a firm opinion around that assumption trying to be right.
Regardless of where they fall on this topic, a large number of our fans are retarded.

6 days vs 7 days rest is nothing. This is not an argument.

Actually it is, but I'm sure the Ranters will explain "well achtally"
Go look at the pitchers off a full week and get back to me compared to less

Sample size too small, Anderson can def shove on 6 days rest

I don't thik Jay would. I think if he decides to throw AE on Friday then AE would start the Friday game of the Supers and KA would be the Saturday starter for both.

Your analysis only references the Super Regional.
Would you agree that pitching off would increase the teams chances of making it to the Super Regional?

No pitching your Friday-Saturday starters for G1 and G2, dramatically increase your chances of making it to Omaha
Posted on 5/28/25 at 11:36 am to DeathValley85
Not throwing off is a new concept for LSU at least. I couldn’t tell you the last time LSU threw their ace against the 4 seed other than Skenes

I am not necessarily refuting this but do you have any numbers to back this up?
