for the "revenue" sports it's been that way for a long, long time, now we're paying people to play some college sports that aren't as good as athletes you see in some intramural league sports

I think there still a 4 loss team. Kelly is a mediocre coach and cannot get them close to the playoffs.

The winningest coach in Notre Dame history is mediocre. That’s a skip bayless level take.

Kelly has done what he was hired to do at LSU and that’s bring stability to the program. 10 wins, 10 wins 9 wins. That’s pretty solid considering the condition of the program when he took over.

Kelly definitely has to make a step forward this season given the roster he’s got. If he goes backward then you can certainly question his coaching ability. But with this roster you would have to go out of your way in meddling for it to just fail. It’s a situation where anyone with a pulse can coach this team and stumble into 10 wins. Just get out of the way and let the horses run.

Do you think Saban would have players/recruits over for a meal at HIS house, and not be the one to grill a burger or a steak? Do you think Saban would hire someone to bring their own grill to his house to prepare food for his players?

Uhmmmm.... That's literally every team in Division 1 football.

The combination of NIL with the transfer portal has completely destroyed college football as we’ve always known it. Come hell or high water, Texas is going to buy themselves a National Championship.

n9t from the big ten and sec

Texas will be loaded until nil gets under control but i still don't see it happening with them or Bama or us. it's just too tough when everyone can fill holes with the portal

Thoughts?

You are lamenting and living in the past.

Uh, we smoked those fools last time we played either…expectations have changed. No

Those were the LSU teams that actually made it to the title game. How many other LSU teams over the last 20 years would have beaten those Clemson and Ohio St teams? 2011 and maybe 2006. The expectation for any generic LSU team heading into a season is not at that level.

The videos and pictures of him having the players over last week was absolutely fake and edited x 10. I run around the lakes and run past his house several times a week, and on that day I remember being surprised by the amount of vehicles in front of his house. As I got closer I saw that he had hired an outside catering company that setup 2 of their own grills across the street from CBK’s house, they cooked all of the food.

Do you think Saban would have players/recruits over for a meal at HIS house, and not be the one to grill a burger or a steak? Do you think Saban would hire someone to bring their own grill to his house to prepare food for his players?

IMO, CBK should be gone if we lose to Clemson and don’t make the playoffs

This has to rank up there in the Top 5 of stupidest post in rant history. WTAF man

Not really sure how you can look at the talent we've had in the secondary the past 2 years and then question BK wanting to significantly overhaul through the portal. It was very necessary, and we're much better off for it.

Confused in your issue. Would you rather us field yet another good team, but just not enough talent to compete with the top level teams?

I wonder how missing on 7 of the top 10 kids from Louisiana, according to on3, in 2023 is causing us a problem with quality upper classman? I include Heard in that miss!

His ND record was made against nobodies. Temple, Navy, etc are not powerhouses. He is not winning anything worthwhile at LSU.!

We have an easy SEC schedule…no UGA and no Texas, UF home, Bama on the road, where we like them…and oh, at Ole Miss, where shutting those bastards up should be our top goal this season. OU is the only other team with a pulse. If we lose more than 2 SEC games we are trash.

CBKs portal approach show he’s 100% pushing all his chips in on ‘25 being a championship season. W/ so many transfers, will be a good barometer on whether transfer-heavy approach can win you championships. It didn’t work for Ole Miss last year. Don’t think CBK is on hot seat immediately but would certainly loose lots of trust, confidence and likely resourcing if he underachieves w/ this roster.

All this portal action makes me suspect of his HS recruiting and player development process thus far.

Holy shite, I wished I had a time machine. Would send some of you ungrateful dumb asses back to the nineties. You will not hear anyone that witnessed that crap say bk should be fired if he loses three games.

Hell, even send you to Les Miles days of not having a QB throw over 200 hundred yards. Kelly might not be perfect but at least he cares enough to try and fix problem areas we have. Sheesh
