Burrow
Davey
Russell
Mettenberger
Flynn
Mauk
Etling
Randall
Lee (if given the same opportunities as Jefferson)
Jefferson
Harris
Hatch
Jennings

I believe once Brennan is done he will fit in between Russell and Mettenberger.

He went 2-5 with 2 picks against ULM when he played at ULL.

But to be fair ULM’s qb was 3-14 with 2 picks so he actually was the better qb of the game

Etling and Lee were better than Randall.

Best seasons
Etling- 2,463yrds, 16TDs, 2ints, 60%, 153.0 passer rating
Lee- 1,306yrds, 13TDs, 3ints, 62.3%, 152.0 passer rating
Randall- 1,269yrds, 9TDs, 6ints, 63%, 139.7 passer rating

And then you put the guy who won a natty behind the guy that is only the presumed starter at this point and hasn't started a game or played longer than really a quarter in a game at this point?

Ive just seen both throw a football and there is absolutely no comparison. I guess I'm just saying where I think he is ,talent wise.
But yeah they should be switched if it's production related. Hell Brennan should be way lower if it's production.

Russell was better than Mettenberger. You could also argue he was better than Davey because he had two good seasons to Rohan's one

I think metts 2nd half of the bama game his junior year and on, we're the second best games I've seen an Lsu qb play.

Rohan had a better career hem Russel overall..i would reverse your argument. Russell was a one year guy, pretty much. I thought Davey had more good games overall

Davey was basically a one year guy also. Neither he or Booty could take the job and keep it.

I really was more intrigued by the bottom of the list.

I think Harris is the guy that gets more negative then he should..imo, something mentally happened with him and the pressure to perform on his second year of being the guy. He was never the same after losing to Wisconsin.

Does anyone remember the specific wr screen pass that he threw in the game against the fcs team where etling came in? It was his last pass at lsu, I believe.

I ask ,because I was watching on TV and wasn't there. Someone said he threw that ball, literally 20 ft over the receivers head. Sounds impossible though

Davey had a freaking long arse throwing motion, but had a cannon. Maybe even stronger then Harris or mett.

Then there's Russel lol

People are grossly overrating Mettenberger. Mettenberger threw up a bunch of stats but never won a game that mattered.

Les QB Rankings:

Jamarcus
Mett
Flynn
Etling
RP
Jefferson
Lee
Harris
Jennings

Etling would have probably been ruined too if Les had survived the 2016 season.

frick Les Miles, worst coach in LSU history. We are in the Golden Age now boys, live it up as we will be a top 3 team as long as Coach O is here. No more fricking bums like Les and his shitty offense

2012 South Carolina
2012 A&M
2013 Auburn

All those teams won 11 games and lost to LSU. He was absolutely clutch against Bama 2012 and was let down by Chavis. He also had a great game at Georgia in 2013. He is properly rated by LSU fans now that we have the proper hindsight and the gold standard of QB play last season to compare him against. Good college QB but not elite.

This thread is all over the place. OP states the "end of Miles tenure", then manages to go all the way back to Saban era QBs ?

I guess you want to rank QBs starting after the Perrilloux dismissal through 2016?

So, starting with Hatch and ending with Etling.

IMHO from best to worst = Mett, Etling, Lee, Jefferson, Jennings, Harris, Hatch, Rivers.

I was just gonna do the shitty miles era guys at first, but thought it would be better to go back to after booty, to not make it just a player bashing thread 100%.

Did rivers even take a snap in a game at Lsu? I don't even remember him kneeling in victory o, or in a spring game.

And I just forgot perilloux or however he spells it.
I guess he would be behind Flynn.

Yeah, but you are the one that put the qualifying statement on Brennan by using the words "so far" after his name. That indicates to me that you are basing this more off production rather than perceived talent or potential.

But if you were to go with perceived talent and potential, hell, then you could argue Brennan would and should be ahead of Flynn.

Mett failing to come through at Athens hurts his stature imho.
Did Mett ever lead us from behind late or execute a good two minute drill versus good competition?

Have we ever came to some sort of a consensus on who was the worst of the worst, and the best of the worst?

Why? It is just college kids man and its over. Move on.

Harris/Jennings vs Auburn in 2014

This is one of the most atrocious performances I have ever seen.

Yep, Hatch and Etling really soured me on Miles. Both great guys but come on. To have a program with the revenue-generating power of LSU rely on Jennings, Hatch, and Etling is just reckless, careless, and irresponsible.

Yet every season I went into it thinking Miles had us in the right place.
