People have decided Lane is a bad guy, so literally everything they hear about him will be skewed to fit their delusional perception.

This is a nothing quote yet it will get at least some traction as nobody digs deeper for context but instead runs with whatever dumbass narrative they grab from the tweet.

Listening to the press conference it was all very lighthearted and just wanted to take the chance to say how happy he was for him and what a great player he is and they try to turn this into some sort of scandal.


I’ve listened to every coach we’ve had since Dinardo give pressers, many in person, and Lane is very open and friendly with the guys in the press room.

This stuff can be a real pain for the coaches and they often don’t want to be there and treat the guys covering them like dicks.

Maybe that will change the longer he’s here but Lane has been respectful to all of them and tries to give them actual thoughtful answers to their questions.


I really don’t understand the hate the national media gives him, and it’s usually the ones that don’t actually interact with him because when they do I think he wins them over pretty quick.

The question had nothing to do with LSU. Absolutely stupid question to ask Lane during game week.
