This team has faced absolutely no adversity until the last two weeks.

Adversity builds character. I hate losing, but these are coachable moments.

This team can still make it to Omaha despite the board being on fire.

We have to get hot at the right time or we’re going to get slapped out of a regional.

It’s ok to be humiliated sometimes. These guys need a fire lit under them and this series may be the one to do it.

A coachable moment was when the pinch runner got doubled off to lose a game against Nicholls.

Today shows that no coaching was done at all after that

I guess the midweek losses to fricking ULL and Nicholls didn’t get the job done.

This.

The players are demoralized and defeated now before they even take the field. I don't see how they can compete and win the WS this season. They have not got it, mentally, physically - they have not yet finished failing and losing.

Pitching , especially the relievers, have been total shite all year. It's all fun when you're run ruling teams, but when shite hits the fan, we're f'd

The hitters know that no lead is safe at this point. That makes them put even more pressure on themselves to crush the ball every at bat. It’s like a chain reaction of suck

Unfortunately, this team has wilted under that adversity. The bullpen has been bad all year, but not THIS bad. This is a clear case of everybody losing confidence and falling apart. I think that contributed to the bats going cold as well. They tightened up and started pressing. All that said, they still win this game if Johnson doesn’t stupidly gift them 4 runs by bringing in Little. The rest of the pen scuffled, but the offense had enough without that gift.

This!!!

Why Frey was put in the game today to pinch run after royally screwing up against Nicholls was bad. The fact that Frey got doubled up again to lose the game shows that this coaching staff did absolutely no coaching whatsoever on base running 101 with Frey.

Disgraceful coaching.

You are in a dream world. This team is toast and have been since the SC series. No amount of sunshine pumping can change what this team is.

This is actually not a slump.. it’s just how bad our pitching staff really is. I don’t really care about polls, but this team should drop out of the top ten.

YES…, MSU is that bad.

We have hit (no pun intended) lowest point of the season for this team. There is still time to re-group. Pitching leaves much to be desired at this point, but I cannot believe they are THAT bad to continue at the current level. That being said, I have never seen a staff with 2 exceptions, totally collapse at one point in a season like we have experienced over the last couple of weeks!
