LSU did a fantastic job this past Saturday night with everything. The light show, the wrist bands, the mix of music between the band and piped in music. It was a great night, and the fans brought it. We could not talk the next day

Saturday night was the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. These past 25 years have been a special time for LSU football, and I'm lucky enough for it to coincide with my adult life.

Yeah, I went to Va Tech in 2002,
We were there too and still remember the tension from the VT fans as we took over the area. There was this packed two-story bar on the strip with LA affiliations (Boudreaux's Restaurant?) that was filled to the brim with LSU fans. It was also the last time I saw Ragou. Unfortunately, Tech came away with a "W".

The Southern Fried Football Tour made its third appearance to expanded Lane Stadium to check out the match-up between defending SEC champs and the Big East's Virginia Tech Hokies.

The largest crowd ever to watch a college football game in the state of Virginia was stoked before kick-off. The night before the game, a riot broke out in Blacksburg involving the LSU and Virginia Tech fans. The National Guard and other law enforcement agencies were brought in to restore the peace.

Virginia Tech wasted no time showcasing their great defense and special teams plays that have become a trademark under coach Frank Beamer.

The Hokies cruised to a hard-hitting 24-0 lead before putting the finishing touches of an impressive 26-8 win over LSU. Both teams entered the game ranked in the Top 20, and Virginia Tech will certainly climb in the polls with their convincing win over the Tigers.

Former Hokie and current Atlanta Falcons QB, Michael Vick, was awarded a special honor before the game.

High praise from Va Tech fans is impressive.

VA Tech is probably the top place outside of the SEC that I want to see a game at. I have to witness Enter the Sandman.

Ragoo and the Evil Twins were all over Blacksburg.

If Ragoo is still alive he doesn't miss the football radio show at TJ Ribs.

He seemed to LOVe it while she seemed concerned and frightened.

I will say that I am softer than a lot of our fans but I am not a fan of threatening violence on opposing fans for cheering for their team. Now if they are talking shite and being obnoxious thats one thing but if they were just singing Hoddy Toddy after a good Ole Miss play, let them cheer.

I wish they would get back to being as good as they were with Beamer and Bud Foster. Maybe after SC cans Shane Beamer, VT can hire him and they can recapture the magic.

Apparently the Ole Miss fans were chanting “Hotty Toddy” while the band played Alma Mater. I’m not a fan of threatening violence either but disrespecting Alma Mater will have consequences

I hope they were more excited than what they portrayed in that video. Yes, they were overwhelmed, but not saying anything about pre-game is a down vote imo. SVP, while a professional, still numero uno in my book, but that was good. Go Tigahs!

He said he walked out of the stadium and said...

"Praise God!"

Yes! Tiger Stadium at its best is that kind of experience.

I'm generally not a fan of storming the field for Ole Piss. However, being there in person made me want to storm the field. It was absolutely electric in the stadium. The only thing that kept me from storming the field was that I had some elderly folks in my group who I had to drive home. The atmosphere last Saturday was as good as any I've ever experienced in person right up there with Georgia '03 and Florida '07. I know there's been some other great ones since then like Bama '22 but unfortunately I wasn't in attendance for any of those.

Eta: The lights were awesome and the sound system is very much improved from last year.
