No----he's saying you'll be in control of what happens for the rescheduling part of this chit.....

The networks are always going to have a large role in it. Too much money for them not to.

What's your point? You just said you want to avoid having to deal with ESPN/Kickoff neutral site games. Which doesn't make one ounce of sense.

What is so attractive about these kickoff games that we cede home game and control over issues like location? Do we make that much more money from the TV?

this article will tell you why LSU plays these neutral site games

LINK

The schools get paid millions to participate and don't have anywhere close to the overhead costs that come with putting on a home game. (Ex. FSU and Bama are going to get $5 million each plus perks for their game)

I would love a home and home as much as anyone else. But the schools wouldn't do it if there wasn't a big financial incentive to do so.

The fact that this game will be moved because of a potential once-in-a-lifetime event is not a reason to discontinue the neutral site games forever.

Then why not play MORE neutral site games ?
More $$$...makes sense, maybe we could sell some SEC home games as well !

then we should really consider never playing these kickoff games anymore, and strictly do Home and Home series

Pretty financially stupid, but maybe that floats your boat.

When people say this i always wonder, given the situation what should he have done? Give me a reasonable solution people wouldn't have bitched about

people constantly bitch here about LSU playing in these kickoff games, and this gives a great excuse to not play in them

This is remarkably dumb

Regardless of the fact that LSU lost a home game last year AND conceded to playing in Gainsville two years in a row....

Alleva handled the situation last year as poorly as possible from a PR standpoint. LSU made every concession possible to play the game as scheduled at whatever venue UF wanted. They had the moral high ground. But Alleva did not get ahead of the story and got burried by the national media because of his lack of PR skills.

He's an absolute joke.

So your saying you cant come up with a better solution, got it. Do you think it would have been a pr problem if ESPN had reported correctly and told how UF was so uncooperative?

'm not sure what you guys don't get about the fact that LSU makes more money on two neutral site games than they do on a home and home....math is hard I guess

Math is not hard but being a snarky douche on the internet is very easy. Most understand that these neutral site games make more revenue it however does not make so much more than a home and home that it's the difference between LSU being in the black where playing home and home would have the AD in the red. The exposure argument is completely stupid. If LSU played Wisconsin at TS and Camp Randall I'm pretty sure someone would be interested in televising it.

I wouldn't have conceded to playing in Gainsville in 2017. LSU had zero obligation to do so. Got it?

Don't be a dumbass. We make more money on 2 home games obviously than on 2 neutral site game...which is why you'll see us play a neutral site game vs a good team and 3 home games against cream puffs....that is the way to make the most money and have the 1 Power 5 OOC game required by the system.

Once again...IF $ is the top priority, why not "sell" another home game EACH season ??

Weather messes up a neutral site game
Rant: see this is why you play at home.

Weather messes up a home game.
Rant: thank god we aren't playing this game in Baton Rouge
