This isn't about LSU

Not really. It's about the conference fighting to keep complete control. The NCAA and conferences across the country have gotten their asses kicked in court on almost every issue.
They are desperately trying to maintain the eroding authoritarian regime they've had for decades. In the past, conference voice was undisputable law. They do not like the changed landscape. If they can get government protection to vote out members at will, they will use it to lord over schools if any issue gets big enough
When I say it isn't about LSU, that doesn't mean they won't sacrifice LSU just to prove they can. LSU has broken zero conference bylaws. It's the perfect case to prove their authority.

They didn't care when Alabama defied Sankey. They didn't care when Ole Miss defied Sankey.
But now they draw the line?
Frick that.

Complete collusion.

Yep. We gave them an excuse to do what they’ve been wanting to do. We’re just a big enough brand and got caught in the crossfire.

When the Super League comes, and it will soon, it’s going to be a glorious day. We will finally throw off the shackles of Birmingham oppression. Can’t wait.

They’re going to lose it all in the process.

They had to pick a line somewhere. Why not now? It's the perfect time for them. Kiffin is a villain. The national media was skewing the narrative and were completely against LSU in this matter.
I didn't say it was fair. But it is the perfect time to try.

The SEC just violated a restraining order given to 40+ individuals.
I don’t think this is over yet.

Actually, the league office will be more powerful. There will be no equivalent that a school can join if kicked out.

Admittedly, I have no knowledge of any importance. But I don't see how it actually hurts them to try and fail. All conferences and the NCAA have been stripped of all power. Chambliss (redshirt seasons), Pavia (JUCO season), multiple transfer restrictions, NIL, etc. They have nothing to lose.
It they aren't granted absolute authority to expel members, so what? They don't currently have that authority, hence their current lawsuit. Our relationship is a problem right now but that's already the case. And on an administrative level, that will also pass. Some fans won't forget but let's be honest, the SEC doesn't actually care about us.

I cannot believe this is happening. I have a very strong feeling this not will not end well for Stankey somehow. The biggest F around and find out situation here.

I think it is about LSU. Woodward was a team player he at least listened to the SEC and they were Okay with LSU being average to low in football. I think they found out that they can't control tbe new regime and probably didn't get the feed back they wanted on Wade and LK. Seems like they are trying to show they still have some control to bring LSU in line. Only explanation for them voing this hard in the paint.

So take it out on one university? Ridiculous. They (including LSU) are all part of the problem.
