This is why Alabama OL is so much better than LSU's

The proof is in the pudding and you don't have to look far to see the huge gap that exist between Alabama and LSU in recruiting OL. We have to get much better or the gap will only widen.
Last year, Alabama signed 5 OL in the top 37 in the country! That group included the two top-rated offensive lineman in the country, along with the 10th, 30th and 37th ranked OL in the country. All were from out of the state of Alabama! LSU had one player - No. 17 Garrett Dellinger - in the TOP 50!
This year Alabama already has two commitments in the top 8 in the country and lead for the top OL in the country. All three of those players are from out of state. LSU has two commitments in the top 27 - both Louisiana boys.
If LSU wants to reach that elite level offensively, we have to improve our OL recruiting or we'll just continue to battle for second in the West. The reality is the talent level between Alabama and LSU is light years apart!

I'll call coach and tell him to start recruiting better players than Bama. Great thinking!

Go root for bama and Frick off with this bullshite.

I didn't see steroids and non calls on holding mentioned, so your premise is bullshite.

Are they? How many more games have they won this year than us?

I mean I agree but it's not like we aren't trying. Compared to Alabama's level of Oline recruiting lately there are nfl teams that pale in comparison.

And no body else knows this?
Saban is just very good at recruiting.
No mystery.

He is absolutely correct. Hopefully new OL coach can close the gap.

We will never recruit on that level. I have been following recruiting since the 80's. We can get a great out of state lineman on occasion, but if Louisiana does not produce OL we will recruit that position insufficiently in numbers. That has been true for 40 years.

They will be shaking come November

Anytime Bama doesn’t win it all, another team did more with less. Which is about 50% of the time the last 12 years. It is what it is at this point.

So does everyone else. Saban has just built a machine that is hard to compete against recruiting wise, especially on the lines.

As a long time Bama fan, it's true. Saban made it clear day 1 that the only way to win big is to have the best of the best players on your team.
Now with that said it's not uncommon for Bama to lose many players after their sophomore year.
O'line can be very good or great if you van develop a few 3/4 stars over a period of 4/5 years. Some teams must do it that way. It's not a bad way to approach things.
It's still all about developing the 3/4 star guys and picking the right kids that will stay an extra year .

Golly, gee, what a novel thought. You'd think the Rant might have discussed this a thousand times already!

Please stop. Jesus this is pitiful.
