I don't think Alabama makes it in without winning the SEC. I was watching some CFB show on ESPN and they brought up Alabama making it in with one loss to LSU. All of them agreed that they wouldn't get in with their schedule.
ACC Champ, SEC Champ, B12 Champ (winner of Texas vs Oklahoma part 2) are basically guaranteed a spot. Then you have Notre Dame who will probably be undefeated. And if Michigan wins out they will be the top seed.

if bama loses at any point, their Charmin soft schedule combined with undefeated teams would probably doom them.

Go ask Saban if he thinks this game is meaningless.

The truth is that for LSU to win a NC they have to beat BAMA twice

I understand what
You are saying but disagree strongly. If LSU gets blown out, they will not end up
In the playoffs. If they win or keep the score incredibly close, the path is still open.

yep...hell even a 1 loss Clemson ACC champ gets in over Bama this year. The only one that has to win out is ND.

As long as Michigan keeps winning, ND will need to lose twice.
ND at 11-1 gets in over Bama at 12-1
100% facts

If you want to vomit, then wait until we beat Bama and watch Saban's post game presser. I promise you that little twerp already has his talking points ready, building LSU up as a Goliath, to whom a loss is forgivable.
The begging and campaigning to get another BYE straight into the playoffs will be pathetic...and it will likely work, again.

I disagree with OP.
Bama would need other teams to falter to get in. You could have a team like Texas that wins out and has a good win over OU, which might get looked at. ND would stay ahead of Bama if they win out.
Bama loses to LSU
LSU wins out and wins SECCG
LSU is in CFP guaranteed.
Bama could back into it but a couple more teams would need to have 1 loss or 2.

Have you ever played football?

Not if they also lose to The Citadel.
Perhaps The Citadel will be allowed to use cannons to soften up the Bama defenses before beginning any offensive assault.

Do you even eye test, bro? Bama isn’t getting jumped by osu or mich. That’s what sucks about osu losing last week. Pretty much guaranteed Bama a playoff spot even if they drop a game.

Let’s just BEAT Bama and then talk.....

Yep and I hate “the eye test” logic. The games have to be played.

I’m sorry if it’s a 1 loss Big 10 Champion Michigan vs a 1 loss SEC W runner up Alabama Michigan goes 0% doubt about it

They have to play Mississippi State the following week. The Moo U O isn’t great, but their D could give Alabama problems, especially if they are banged up like both teams usually are after the war between LSU and Bama every year.
Posted on 10/22/18 at 6:20 pm to Jumbo_Gumbo
yall are fricking stupid if you think texas, OU, or OSU will get in over alabama if their only loss is to #4 at LSU at night. Texas lost to maryland and plays a softer schedule than bama, OU almost lost to army, and lost to a mediocre overrated texas team, OSU got clapped by purdue... end of discussion
