This doesnt strike me as a team that doesn't know its good.

And Kiffin doesnt strike me as a guy who expects a struggle in his first season 
He has said twice now that the defense goes against the best offense in practice.
The talk of reigning in expectations due to team chemistry is kinda gone. Around the time Leavitt got back it seemed like Lane realized "woah I have something here".
Weird feeling to be excited for an opener again after the straight up clown show we have been week 1.

Lane and LSU know already that they are so good that they make the other SEC coaches and players feel like they are not so good.

Week 1 was about the only high point of the 2025 season for me but I get the sentiment

I think this team will be good. I just think it will need a little time to get there. Every team takes time to gel. Teams that have lots of newcomers can take a bit longer. I think this team will be playing its best in November (barring injury). Whether or not it’s lost 2-3 games by then will determine the chances of a playoff run.

Word I've seen around the program is Sam is one of the if not hardest working player on the team doing everything he can daily like chemistry with his WRs. That's refreshing to hear because Sam is the X factor if he's no good this year or something happens, our season is basically doomed.

Right and it's a stark difference to Nuss last year who was reportedly very lazy in the offseason and it showed during the season.

Honestly what gives me the most hope is that Baker can now collaborate with Kiffin. I think this helps Baker more than anyone

I think we will have a very good team. However, we play a schedule of several other very good teams. I have a feeling our W/? record as far as getting in the playoffs will be whether our PK can make maybe one or even two FG's that prove to be the winner of a tough game. Or if the opposition's PK misses a FG at game's end to give LSU victory or defeat.
If we get in the playoffs, I think that team will be seasoned enough and tried enough to have a very legitimate chance to win another Natty.

I agree. I think we beat Clemson, but I hate the Ole Miss - A @ M games back to back in Sept. Even if we beat Ole Miss, the intensity we will have to have in those back to back games is hard to duplicate.

Lane hasn’t had guys like Lamar Brown, Whit, Benefield, Spears, Pickett on the other side of the ball at this quantity and quality.
I think reality has set in that this team has tons of potential. Seems like everyone is bought in and most importantly hungry for success.

Bear Bryant used to say his teams were slow and not good only to smash the competition. Even heard him say if I had the talent LSU has I'd win it all.

I think this team will struggle initially like all new teams, but I think they win. What I think will surprise people is the speed in which we see improvement that by the time we hit end October/November, we'll be a dominant force.

The question is - are they good enough to beat OM and UT? If they can't do that, they won't be considered very good and won't make the playoffs.
