He’s always going to downplay it no matter what.
He knows they can win a championship right now. We know it. He knows it. The media knows it. Let’s stop pretending that isn’t reality.
The roster is loaded. Lane and Charlie are running the show. Baker is a top tier DC with a loaded roster. It’s all there.

The team has a lot of potential and talent. The keys will be no major injuries to your leaders QB/LT/MLB where there is limited depth and how quickly the new players pick up the system & gel. If they can go 3-1 or better in September and November they will be playoff bound. If they struggle to gel early or 1-2 major injuries it could be a 9-3 or 8-4 year. It’s a tough schedule.

As I have learned yr after yr after yr, your self evaluation is only half the equation. The other half is what does everyone else have. Look at Indiana last season… nobody saw that coming.
Right now with no data to back it up I feel like we can beat everybody on our schedule. Week 3-4 will be a better milepost.

Man the season cannot get here quick enough. Cannot wait to hear how the team is preparing to take the field for the first time in Tiger Stadium under Kiffin. They should be extremely motivated and prepared to play!
