May not be a bad thing. Eyanson can throw some in the next game we have. We have seen him close out games and he has stuff that can you help you at any point of the game.
I think having Eyanson available for some innings if we play Arky again is very helpful.

No you save him for Thursday on more rest, if need be. Evans with a combo of shores/williams/mayers/Schmidt/Primeaux/Ware on Wednesday if you have to. If we win Wednesday then we have the upper hand in the finals with both our aces fully rested. If we lose then we have one of the 3 best pitchers able to go as long as needed to keep us from going home.
It sucks that Eyanson gets knocked out early but if we can take care of business in the marble game without burning Evans, we are in great shape.

I don't think that is as big of a factor as you may think. Players still get plenty of rest...or enough. They are young.
Honestly, when we beat UCLA, I hope they beat Arkansas. UCLA hits better than Arkansas, but UCLA is much worse at pitching.

Even if Root starts the next game, they are going to be on their 3 and 4th starters and would have to win twice. Not an easy task

Having to start Anderson again would be horrible for LSU's odds in a CWS final against Coastal, who is currently rolling through their bracket. If LSU has to pitch Anderson or Eyanson again before a CWS final, it's going to make winning this tournament very tough. The rain delay might've just hurt LSU's chances immeasurably (especially if the bullpen fails to control UCLA when the game restarts). Hopefully the LSU bats come out of the delay on fire.
