Downright embarrassing.
You’re right. Your post is embarrassing. Where do you suggest LSU shoots all the fireworks from? The aisle in the upper decks?

Fireworks, that is the complaint?
Also, the cannot shoot off to many by the stadium because of Mike’s habitat. Not good for Mike.

The LED lights are lame in every stadium
I don’t like them. I hate them even more for baseball stadiums.

I went to Ohio St v Wisconsin at the Shoe earlier this year. They basically have an MC that runs the whole experience from the field. During timeouts, commercial breaks, whatever. It was awful. Everything is choreographed and the energy sucked.
No amount of lights, music or yell leaders/mc’s can match what the fans and band do in Tiger Stadium.

quote:. They were raving about it. Considering who they are, and all the stadia they’ve been to and they were carrying on about the unforgettable event they just witnessed is a massive credit to LSU, Tiger Stadium and the fans. Gives me chills. It absolutely proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt the TS is the best of the best.
raving about how awesome the game and stadium were.

Just imagine if we did have the led lights and were more dialed in with games ops….
No, no, no, no, no! I hate those stupid lights! The energy of the crowd is all you need!

we don’t need to copy what others are doing. Keep it simple and classy. No flashy gimmicks needed.

We don't need lights, fireworks, canned music clips, or dancing clowns for keeping the ADHD set entertained. Those elements actually take the crowd out of the game.
Tiger Stadium is a loud, intimidating venue. We only need the crowd. This was proven once again on Saturday night. Few stadiums rival it.
If you're looking for sideshows stay glued to your phone. If you're looking for Tiger Football get dialed in.
Ain't no pahty like a Tiger Stadium pahty cuz a Tiger Stadium pahty DON'T STOP

Tiger Stadium desperately needs to have its interior renovated.
It’ll never be ready in time…

Nah.
I went to a few Alabama games this year after we moved out here and the stupid light garbage they do is tacky as hell.
Saturday was the perfect showcase of the stadium, the band, and the crowd. The LSU experience. We don't need the flare.

Can we just get speakers that are up to high school levels?
The speakers are way above and beyond anything you’d find at a high school game. It’s actually a pretty legit system.
The problem is that the south uppers severely fricked up the acoustics of the stadium, and the existing sound system is now a square peg in a round hole. I posted a pretty detailed explanation of the technical issues a couple of weeks ago so I’ll just say this - they should have redesigned the sound system during the last expansion. I’m sure they know it’s an issue and one guy said he was aware of an RFP they issued to price out solutions, so it’s probably in the works. Just a question of when.
As for LED lights.. this is one of the weirdest obsessions I’ve seen from the fan base in a while.
As a live audio/production nerd I appreciate the impact and I think it will definitely add to the stadium experience. But I think people are being a bit silly about it, acting like it’s some kind of make-or-break difference. Nobody is going to an LSU game for the light show.
Regardless, it’s only a matter of time before LSU makes the switch.

Wrigley field just got led lights put in via helicopter… If wrigley can get them, we can get them… hopefully they do this in offseason. Something also needs to be done about north endzone concourse

Notice how Tennessee also turned off the stadium lights and turned on the LED light show as the fireworks were going off.
I'm glad we don't do all of that gay overdone crap.

This. The CROWD is what makes a sporting event electric. LSU fans are the most passionate in the land. The BAND is what makes the college football experience so much more original than the NFL. I hate that LSU is piping in the horns song that nobody heard about until the Mets starting doing it for their closer. Play Callin Baton Rouge and Louisiana Saturday Night and let the band do the rest.
Leaning too hard into the new fads and gimmicks at the expense of what has historically made LSU gameday the best will only make us just like everyone else.
