You're exactly right. I remember the same soy boys going crazy with their cryin about MIles being criticized and suggested to be fired about 5 years before it was too late. So much so these little whiners came up with Negatiger which was catchy...

Yep... Some of us can see the writing on the wall before it falls apart, and others would prefer to go down with the ship, and then praise the captain for hitting the iceberg on the way down. You'd think if anybody could be said to (almost) enjoy losing, it would be those folks.

You never wish for your team to lose, period. F*ck CPM, root for the players that are out there fighting for LSU. That is who you root for, their success breads success, so always root for the team. I don’t think it matters much anyway because CPM’s current 3 year record in SEC play should be enough to have our AD looking hard at what to do, especially since he has no ties to hiring him.
The season will play out how it is supposed to, have we been swept by 3 of the best teams in the country? Or are we just as bad as they made us look?
The season is set at this point you got what you got and is what you got better than their’s, and CPM’s back is now firmly against the wall. So we are about to see how good a coach he really is. We have the talent on the team, but we aren’t getting the most out of the talent, and that falls on leadership to pull out that talent.

Dude... Are you serious? Read the thread, and you'll understand why he got those downvotes and FULLY deserved them.
NO ONE is pulling for the team to lose. We're saying it's time to move on from Mainieri. Nobody wants to lose. Why do you think we're upset?
Is it that hard to think about that for just one second? It is mind numbing to see someone trying to rationalize criticism as pulling against your team.

And that would be worse than keeping CPM? How? We are already the cellar dwellers, and we'll continue to set new failure records for the SEC if we keep Manure. So, why use that as an excuse to keep CPM until the end of the season? Don't give me the crap reason "Because he earned it." He didn't, he earned it with another coaches players. He's done nothing but shite since.

A loss to Houston in Tiger Stadium back in 1999 changed our football program forever. In that context, I’ll take a loss for the greater good. It’s rather shortsighted of you to virtue signal your fan hood by saying “I’LL NEVER PULL FOR MY BELOVED TIGERS TO LOSE!”

That’s not true. There have been people posting on here that they ARE rooting for losses. There was a thread yesterday about it.
I’m not criticizing those folks, like the OP is. I understand it. They have given up on CPM, and believe that the fastest path to LSU winning championships is to get rid of CPM. So anything that makes that happen sooner is a positive step toward championship baseball. It’s hard to argue with them, frankly.
