I get that's the unofficial HQ of the conference but it's like a home game for Tennessee(when they were good) and Georgia.

Play the game in Charlotte or Indianapolis or another neutral non SEC site.
Sure LSU fans will be there in droves, but I never liked playing UGA in their back yard.

Birmingham is the headquarters of the SEC.

ETA: ATL gets the game because it has the biggest and easiest airport to fly in and out of.

IMO, the game should alternate between Atlanta and New Orleans

Should alternate between New Orleans/Arlington and Atlanta
West would be host one year and east would host another year

Should rotate between ATL and New Orleans. I'd add Nashville to that, but there is no dome. Needs to be in a dome in December IMO.

2 of the only 3 times we've played in a National Championship game it's been just a cool hour drive down the road to NOLA right after beating UGA in Atlanta so Im cool with it.

So what you're saying is the Sugar Bowl should be moved from NOLA?

I have been to the SEC title game on three occasions, and had a great time on each trip. And two of those games were against Georgia.

Atlanta is also centrally located in the middle of a cluster of SEC teams. Pretty much everybody is a short car ride from Atlanta except for LSU, Arkansas, A&M, and Missouri.

But I would like to see it rotated evenly between East and West states. A four-city rotation with Atlanta, Jacksonville, New Orleans, and Dallas would be cool. Or you could go with six cities and add Houston and Nashville.

I'm ok with it being in Atlanta. One, the game should be in a dome. You'd hate to have bad weather play a factor in the game. That means Nashville and Charlotte are out. Indianapolis is the site of the Big 10 championship and it is BY NO MEANS "southern". Arlington has a dome, but try as they might, Texas is not and never will be "SEC country". Plus, the Big 12 plays their game there.

The ONLY other reasonable spot is NOLA. The one knock on NOLA is that it isn't as centrally located all the teams in the conf. as Atlanta. Plus, Atl. is a bit easier to get to.

The three schools that actually run this conference, bama, UGA, and Tennessee, want it in ATL and it will be there forever. Totally unfair but that is how it is. It amuses me that we actually have fans who think LSU has any significant input into anything in the SEC.

Been to all of our SEC Champ games. Neither UGA or Tenn had an advantage. Tiger fans travel to this game!
