I am good with it whether he lights it up or not. Boutte is leaving at time that the cupboard is full. Chase left when we were struggling and I did get upset with him on that. But you are correct, I love him again now!

No, the reason that Boutte and any other one who opts out or transfers is attacked is because the most important thing to most fans is that the team wins for them. How else can a fan bask in the feeling of superiority unless his team wins? When we lose, it's the fans of the other team that are better than we are because their team won. It all boils down to the feeling that talented players who choose not to play are jeopardizing the fan's supreme right to have a victory! Who cares what the player feels? He's cheating us and we can't let that pass.

Boutte's performance this season is on Boutte. Daniels at QB didn't seem to hurt Nabers targets or receptions. He only needs 4 to finish the season 1st in the SEC in receptions.

Can't agree with this more. Chase played every skill position on O and was a HUGE contributor to a National Championship. Boutte started really well, then seemed to stop trying.
Wanna be the top WR and get drafted high? PLAY LIKE ONE. Boutte dropped to many tough catches and pouted all year. Hardly a candidate for a team to spend premium draft capital on.
It is all on Boutte now. Go prove it and you can still be a star. Keep doing what you have been lately and the NFL will be done with you quickly. I hope he chooses to be successful, he has the potential.

Yea but Chase was good. He needed to protect being a high 1st round pick.
Boutte is fat and slow, what’s he protecting? Going undrafted? He didn’t help the team so idc that he left personally, but it’s an odd choice given how poor his play is

Go back and watch the Boutte interview on Jordy’s show last off-season and tell me you aren’t surprised.
I support all LSU players. I’m glad Boutte didn’t transfer this year. But my opinion on him as a player is he is not hungry enough, he’s greedy, and he’s indecisive. So, I’m not surprised he changed his mind.
I hope he is successful in the NFL. Realistically LSU’s passing attack barely involved him this year and still went pretty well, so I think in the end everyone involved will be fine.

Chase was a guaranteed top 10 pick. Boutte might be 3rd round.
