Kelly hasn’t exactly assumed charge yet so not sure what message was received by the Johnsons. Complete speculation but wondering if this was a power move saying “start my kid or else” and BK picked the or else option. Just strange how quickly it went down.

Timing makes sense for little brother to sign in early period and enroll for January semester wherever they go. They are a package deal any way you cut it

To be fair he would be having his 3rd offensive coordinator in 3 years. Maybe he wants a change of scenery. Also, never really knew what went down with Nuss getting the playing time vs Arkansas

Anyone who thinks Brad Johnson is in the ear of the coaches saying things like “play my kid or else…”. Is an absolute idiot. Or else what?! Brad Johnson has ZERO pull at LSU.
What likely happened was Coach Kelly saw Max’s play this season and came to the conclusion that the kid would never snap a ball at LSU again and this allows the Johnsons to go ahead and start looking elsewhere.
