I think it all boils down to Will Wade honestly. He has dragged his nuts all over the NCAA and the USA Today crew specifically. Forde, Wolken etc have had a hard on for LSU ever since.

Folks didn’t come after LSU until Guice got arrested in the DMV. Then they looked at his past at LSU and LSU and it didn’t take long to find Davis.
I don’t think the USA Today or Yahoo piece were balanced but this came about because of Guice not bcs we won a title.
You are just plain wrong.

Whining about paying recruits is pathetic, but as long as it's against the rules people are going to do it. While I love wade's attitude towards it, higher media scrutiny is simply an understandable consequence.

I do think Coach O has improved the culture since he’s been here but it’s still not where it needs to be. Recruiting high character kids needs to be a top priority moving forward.
