This thread brought out Semjase, CBree, Pirate King, Fat Bastard, WDA all in the very first page. It's probably the biggest collection of retards on the first page in one thread, and they all have negative stuff to say about the hire.
From that very fact alone, I'm going to assume that this hire will be one of the best in LSU history.

That’s not necessarily a thing anymore. It’s either a recruiting position or a non-recruiting position now. The later is the only limiting factor based on changes to how coaching staffs can operate.
I would guess this is a non-recruiting position. There aren’t going to be many dedicated ST coaches who get one of those slots.

Cultural fit is such an overused term by people outside of the locker room. Not everybody that coaches at LSU has to live and breathe Louisiana.

Nick Saban was "yankee" and a poor cultural fit when he came to LSU. We heard many of these same complaints then.

(Barring injury) there is no reason LSU shouldn't have the best return game in the nation next year. Barion Brown is the SEC career record holder for most kickoff return TDs (5) and Zavion Thomas was second in the SEC in avg. yards per KO return among players who returned more than 5 KO's last season (by 0.3 yards). (Side note, Aaron Anderson actually led the SEC with a 50 yard average. Of course, he only returned 3 KOs, one for a ~100 yard TD. It should be a standing order that any KO that lands short of 6+ yards in to the endzone will be returned.
