You have more room to fall when the fall starts from a higher point. Your analysis boils down to BK didn't reach the heights his predecessors did. This isn't the ringing endorsement you think it is. It's precisely why he has less defenders.

His crowning achievement is upsetting Bama once, giving us the tiebreaker needed to go get btfo by UGA in Atlanta in a season that saw 4 losses. And then wasting a Heisman QB and an offense on par with 2019's with a worse defense than 2020/2021.

“Slide may be worse.”
You act like it’s a future event. It’s here. We’ve slid and will continue to slide. 9 SEC teams currently ranked ahead of us.

Pretty sure that would’ve been Larry Coker. I believe he was gone a year after winning it all.

ETA: my bad. Coker hung around for a few years after winning the title.

Burger King is 5-10 against ranked opponents. He never got near the top in order to slide down

Les and O won national titles in year 3 or 4. Kelly just bitched about the fanbase he just asked to shell out $20 million to buy him players for one year only to have the team be a mess.

Realize many Miles teams would've been in a 12 team cfp, and maybe a few more overachieve with a cfp carrot hanging in front of the players.

Yep was just thinking this.

Les would have been perfect for a 12 team playoff.

How many years did we have 1 or 0 losses going into November? Even his last full season we were 7-0 going into the Alabama game before finishing 1-3. Have to believe if they were still playing for a playoff spot they win another of those 3.

They would have made a 12 team playoff in
2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012.

Narrowly missed in 09 and 13. 2015 they may make it if they still have something to play for after the Alabama loss

I read your post and 100% correct, the 2005, 2006 and 2007 teams, the 2010, 2011 and 2012 teams. The 2009 team, lets say that clock management situation does not happen and LSU gets the FG to win it at the gun and that team is 10-2 (with losses to those loaded Bama and Florida teams, which was 24-15 and 13-3 if my memory serves me).

So 6 teams no doubt are in a 12 team playoff if we had it back then, possibly a 7th with the 2009 team if the Clock situation does not happen and we hit the FG to win that game vs. Ole Miss.

4 years with Kelly and none of his teams would have made a 12 team playoff unless the 2022 team had won the SEC title game vs. UGA, which they of course did not.

I think that reality now has to sit in.

OP is clearly low IQ.

The slide was worse because they actually won something.

Les looks better and better every year.... People realize he wasn't a true issue he could have given LSU a John Cooper type situation. A lot of good/great seasons but never winning another championship. Probably would have played for another or two but LSU would be stuck in that purgatory of 9-10 win teams.

Yeah I think 95% or more want him gone.

The buyout is the only reason why lsu would let him coach next year.

Dead man walking.

Les and O has rings. Dont give this crap if they set the program back either. Kelly is trending downward since 2nd year. Kelly also has nil and a different portal that les and O had.

Two big differences:

First two won titles.

Neither of them were on the tape for anywhere close to this. Miles got an extra year which he squandered over a 15 million dollar buyout.

Wrap your brain around that. LSU balked at firing a coach 10 years ago over a 15 million dollar buyout.

The Woodward overpay guaranteed money experiment is a failure. To what degree do you care when you get paid top price for a decade no matter what you do?

When you win a Championship you get a longer rope to hang yourself. Kelly hasn't done anything here. And he wasted a Heisman year with JD5 and a terrible defense. That may have been his 1 shot at a Championship.
