The real victims here are the two kids who detrimentally relied on the NCAA

The focus should be shifted back to the victims.
LSU and Kiffin are the heroes of the story attempting to pick up and show compassion to the down trodden and discriminated against guys who have wrongfully been denied there 5th year of eligibility to play a sport in college and earn an education.
The SEC, NCAA and these ivory towered school presidents are the villains s here.

Kiffin did not give them advice. They have agents and lawyers to give them advice.
Kiffin said if you are eligible we will take you in and make you an offer.
And based on the Chambliss precedent of the court says these guys are eligible to play, then they should be eligible. The SEC is actually in defiance of a court order.

They weren't making NFL rosters, so what was the alternative here? The only advise they needed was legal advice and they didn't get that from Kiffin.

LSU is a revolutionary force. The old guard of the sec held their “Concert of Europe” to conspire and try to halt what’s coming, but in the end it will not be enough to stop the revolution of college football heralded by Lane Kiffin and LSU

I suspect when Texas cut him they paid him whatever they may have owed him under any contract to try to avoid future issues.

I wouldn't call them "victims". There is no rule in the world that says every rule ever made MUST be grandfathered to included those from previous years.
I really do not feel for them. They were born 1 year too early for the 5-for-5 rule. Life happens. Move on.

This. And Drew Rosenhause confirm on Pat Mcafee's show yesterday that he had this conversation with Dae'Quan Wright himself. But, people will spew whatever garbage they want in order to twist the narrative.

I think they have a good case in court vs NCAA and SEC, and I hope they individually sue Sankey for starting all this BS. They legit have a gripe for loss of wages by the NCAA denying them that 5th year and thus making them go to the NFL even if they weren't ready.

That doesn't make them no longer victims. They are still the party that sustained the loss in this ordeal. What happens afterward doesn't negate that.
