Either that, or a slot receiver for shot passes and runs.

That would take imagination. This coaching staff does not possess that trait.

You mean like Sean Payton and Drew Brees did which ended up being one of the most prolific regular season offenses of all time?!

Yeah I doubt that would work

Nuss opens up the run by completing passes down field, it is that simple. Big Brains Brian Kelly is to proud to admit he is wrong by hitching his wagon to Daniels and he will be out in Baton Rouge by 2025. It can't happen soon enough for me.

True . Now that JD has been promoted as a Heisman front runner , Kelly will not want to pull him .

We have no running game without Daniels and Kelly knows that. His passing is mediocre at best. If we had a legit running game from RB’s like most teams, Nuss would be QB. Daniels is the only running game we have.

Very sad, but very true.

Daniels makes the WR’s look worse. I think we have good receivers. The ball to Thomas was dropped with the safety in his face. It was under thrown and late.

The crap running game is also a product of defenses stacking the box and keying on Jayden’s legs. The disappointing thing is Denbrock can’t consistently spread teams out to loosen up the middle. You see flashes of creativity on RPOs and screens, but it’s like those are scripted and he just falls back into the same play calls.

and stacking the box only is mainly for stopping runs between the tackles and maybe off tackle. not horizontal stretches.

so on the outside they can play off the WR's but are still within 10 years because they know JD will not throw long vertically. if we at least ran more quick bubble screens and outside throws and jet sweeps it beats the box stacking and forces them to roll up and play man press on the WR's. then you counter that by throwing over middle or deep as everybody is rolled up to the LOS. or if it thins out the box by going wide you then go back to attacking the box after thinning it out. we cannot beat teams downfield so they are rolling everybody up and squatting on short routes. we need more horizontal but then you have to go behind them

and if true which it prolly is that is a fricked up mindset.

JD shoulda been ridin the bench and nuss put in. play both of them. spurrier would have,.

Catching the ball on 3rd down to keep the O on the field in a critical situation would help things.

Then maybe they should let him be a running back. He is not a quarterback, and we've known that for a good while now.

FSU was in 2 safety high last night. We run mostly 11 personnel. Deep passing against 2 high is not gonna work. It’s intermediate to short game. They beat our arse up front with 5-7 in the box. That’s not stacking that’s some base shite.

Something is wrong when Daniels continues to have more carries than any of the RB’s

Daniels will have 400 yrds passing & 100 yrds rushing against Grambling next week
JD5 won't have 400 yards passing even if all 5 of the Grambling Tiger Band Bass Drummers suit up and play CB1, CB2, FS, SS and Nickel all game in the defensive secondary.
